Bringing wedding gifts to USA??

Well, I know it's kinda early for this question, BUT better safe than sorry (in case I need to get some specific dox in advance)..

Since our wedding was here in Bulgaria, most of our wedding gifts are still here with me. I am worried about 3 items particularly - a painting one of my good friends made for us (which is bigger than the suitcase), a set of metal goblets with ice holder(that looks nicer and more expensive that it really is) and a set of gold-plated coins. Now, I know for sure that for the painting I'm supposed to get a certificate, but for the other stuff?? And how would the whole "transportation" go??

Any shared experience from anyone would be greatly appreciated!
