Hi Daphne2109,

Nice to see you again on VJ! How are you? How's Bella?

I never received a 'yellow letter'......

But from what others have mentioned on VJ, it's basically a letter that mentions as to what "specific" paperwork/documents, in regards to your particular situation, that you will have to bring with your during your citizenship interview...

This is usually sent to people/applicants who are 'missing' certain required documents with their application...

I did though receive a 'white letter'....

Which is letter that mentions as to what "general" paperwork/documents, that everyone, regardless of their situation, have to bring to their citizenship interview....

This is usually sent to everyone who have sent in all their required documents with their application.....

Either way, both letters tell you what to take to the interview paperwork-wise....

So you should expect either one (or both in some cases) of these letters in the mail before the interview....

Though I must say...White letters are better than Yellow letters....

In most cases (based on VJ timelines) the interview is about 1-3 months after the biometrics are taken...

See VJ timelines and application month specific posts for more information....

For example, for me I had my biometrics at the end of September (though originally it scheduled for early October, but I went early instead) and I had my interview in the middle of November.....(and then got US Citizenship a few days after I passed the interview...)

Each case is different, so you can determine exact timelines accordingly.....

Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey too.

Ant

I'm fine Ant!!1And my dear Bella is fine too, tks for asking me!!!:-)

So actually it is better to get the white letter instead of the yellow one,as the yellow one means we forgot some papers to send. So in the white letter they ask what to bring with you @ the interview, right? Do you have to get all the originals reflecting the copies sent in previously, or you usually take just the exact copies of the copies sent in? I hope not to be too confusing with those "copies"

I will go to see VJ timelines, but then if it's more less 1-3 months from the bios, then I should be at the most scheduled by the end of Sept. (I hope so).

Tks so much Ant as always, for your great info & suggestions!!!!! :)

I will keep u updated about my journey!!!!Take care!!!!!!
