4 months medications for my daughter...

My daughter was negative in sputum but positive on her culture test result. She need to stay in Manila for 4 months.I don't know what to do i'm so confused. I need a safe place that my daughter can stay in 4 months while taking her medicine in SLMC. She need to go to SLMC everyday to take the medicine in front of the doctor or nurse. Please advise.

Sorry to hear that. I thought the culture test result will take about 2 months? Don't you have any relatives in Manila where your daughter can stay for 4 months? My mom had sputum tests also, and was told to come back on Monday for Pulmonary Evaluation. It's so hard, especially when you're living outside Manila. The stress and hassle just to go back and forth in the clinic is so tormenting.

That's my problem i don't have relatives living in Manila. My daughter need to stop her schooling also.waahhhh!!!!

sorry to hear abt ur daughter...i'm was asked also to comeback on monday for the result of the 3day sputum test...i hope it'll turn out to be ok...my kids were all negative on their TB skin test...and i'm praying hard that my culture test will turn out to be negative as well...God is with us always....keep on praying...

@chocol8luv3r,,kasabayan ko pala mother mo...i also had my sputum test last aug 03,04,05 and cnabi mo,,it's very tormenting ang pabalik-balik dun..suffer na nga rin work ko...and the experience was really very discriminating for me..in my opinion coz they won't allow u to get into the bldg w/o wearing a mask and there's a separate lift where they'll send u on ur next step to hell...and when u r in the roof top..u will hear people trying to cough out of their lungs...anyway,,probably, ur mom and i, we'll just bump each other on monday,,i'm sked at 1pm...hope dat our result will be negative and so w/ the culture test....let's just pray hard...God is good...

I know this is very hard specially for your daughter, my mom said that there were a couple elders that gave up their application when the clinic told them they have to undergo this daily treatment, with their old age they can't do it and said its not worth it (yung hirap at pagod sa pagpunta everyday, baka daw yun pa ang ikamatay nila).

Well think about it this way, this treatment will be good for your daughter health-wise even if its hard.

Well think about it this way, this treatment will be good for your daughter health-wise even if its hard.

That clinic is very strict. It's hard to make a decision here who's gonna be with my kids to stay in Manila. My kids gonna stay in Casa Bocobo Hotel near in that clinic. I have no choice kasi nirefuse ko ang St. Luke's before sa Olongapo naggamut ang anak ko ngayon meron pinagsputum nila at meron sila nakita daw kaya she need to go to st. luke's everyday for 4 months. Nage-mail na husband ko sa CDC at US Embassy Manila wala talaga yan clinic pa rin pinapakinggan nila. Sama lang ng loob ko hindi naman malala ang sakit ng anak ko at super higpit sila.

My prayers are with you shel&chael and to all who are undergoing to this nightmare sputum test. I'm so thankful that my mom didn't need to experience this and didn't need to go to St. Luke's for her medical. I know some staff at St. Luke's were not friendly. But think about this way its for your kids health too. Cheer up, you and your kids will be together soon.
