Hi everyone!!! Well today I received an REF for our AOS. It is asking form I-864, Affidavit of Support, from the petitioner, which would be me. I am getting ready to send it in, but they are asking for recent federal income tax file. With my situation, I did not work at all 2009, but i did file income for 2008 and 2007. Should I send the 2008 and 2007 income tax? Please let me know. Thank you guys so much :help:

11/18/2009 - NOA1 Hard Copy Received

02/13/2010 - NOA2 Hard Copy Received

03/04/2010 - K1 Visa Packet 3 Arrived

05/04/2010 - Interview - APPROVED !!!

05/19/2010 - My Shah comes to the USA via CHICAGO :)

06/02/2010 - Apply for SSN

06/25/2010 - WE GOT MARRIED!!!!! :)

08/19/2010 - AOS & EAD Biometrics Taken

08/21/2010 - AOS Transfer to California Service Center

09/04/2010 - Received EAD Card :). It is A Very Happy Day :(

10/12/2010 - Received REF Missing Page on I-485 :(

11/08/2010 - Received Green Card for 2 Years :)

If you didn't file because you weren't supposed to, include a letter with the I-864 explaining that. If you were supposed to file and just haven't, you will need to file.

I did not work 2009. I was unemployed. I worked during 2007 through 2008.

The verbatim instructions for the I-864 say "If you were not required to file a Federal income tax return under U.S. tax law because your income was too low, attach a written explanation."

Are you working now? If not, did you already send an I-864 for a joint sponsor?
