Waiting time for mail sent to NVC

Ok so my husband and i sent his affidavit of support and my DS-230 off to the NVC the last week of May, they recieved the package on the 3rd of june and on the 16 th of June i recieved an email (so it took them only 2 weeks to review the entire package and send me an email). The email ( checklist) said that my birth certeficate was not a certified copy. (It was but im not gonna discuss that any further, they had the last word...).

So the day after on the 17th mailed of a new signed and stamped birth certeficate + translation + international birth certeficate and the NVC recieved it on the 28th of june. Now it's already August and they still haven't even opened my mail ??!!!

I don't understand , they could process an entire package in 2 weeks and for 3 pages no news after 6 weeks ?

Is this normal ? did anyone else send mail in to the NVC in May,June and still waiting on news ?

I'm just getting frustrated, this thing has been taking forever ( 1,5 y)and i was hoping to be with my husband before our little girl turns 1 in september, but i'm slowly losing faith.

You need to check the August NVC- Thread in the other forum section.

There is a massive delay right now. It's been going on since about the end of June I think. It will take 6-8 weeks for them to review your package again. Sorry. =(

Question for you.??? About your Birth certificate... was your the kind where the Mayor for your city signed the Bottom... My husbands doesn't look very official either.. BUT i have emails showing where They ( Belizen city) sent him his Birth certificate along with the Envolope it came in that.. it came right from there office. If you feel like it.. what was the issue? My I-130 just was sent out Yesterday by UPS so asking for a heads up cause i assume.. i might get the same issue. How did you resolve it?
