You'd think so right? You do the due diligence, and send in all the extra paperwork for K-3, just to set yourself back by a few weeks

Maybe that's USCIS' way of gettin back at us for sending them extra forms to review

Doubt it.. My best guess is they just have no idea how to work with the system so they actually make things right.. :bonk:

We thought we were the only ones who got delayed so much but I guess we just picked the "busy days of USCIS"...

Hey Ed,

You should call the USCIS. It's been more than 5 months (their normal processing time) since your NOA1. You are "officially" allowed to bug them on the phone if it goes past the 5 month period.

Don't be shy now, pick up that phone

Girl, that includes you too. It's been 2 weeks since July 29. Call them :bonk:

Hello called the USCIS last week said I am still in the time frame need to wait 2 more weeks. That was 8-13-10 since I filed it's been about 5.6 months.

FYI, there was a post on the IR-1\CR-1 forum. Apparently CSC is overloaded with applications. They are adding another 20 days wait time to the usual 5 months.

(Yes, it's been longer than 5m 20d for you :( Try telling the USCIS that  )

Thank you! I think a big part of in this whole thing was the fact that we were helped by the congressman's assistant! :P I don't think that the actual congressman even knew about our e-mail! :D hah

Hi everyone,

Its nice to know that we arent the only ones in limbo or on forever waiting mode. Its been to long for us since we have gonne an update. Both of our applications have gone past the 5 months processing time and still no approvals for either. What most worries me is that the I-130 was transfered to a local office (Oakland Park, FL)when most cases get approved at the California Service Center. Anyone has heard of this or in the safe situation as us? All replies are greatly appreciated.

1/18/2010 Marriage date

2/1/2010 Sent I-130

2/10/2010 INS received I-130 case redirected to California

2/17/2010 Check cleared $355.00

2/20/2010 Received NOA I-130

2/26/2010 Sent I-129F (w/ NOA for I-130)

3/1/2010 Vermont Service Center (INS) received I-129F

3/6/2010 Received 1st NOA I-129F

6/22/2010 I-130 Transfer Notice Received:WM (to local office: Oakland Park, FL) Waiting for interview notice

8/4/2010 Called for a Service Request on I-129F

8/9/2010 Received confirmation of Service Request for I-129F Called on 8/4/10

8/20/2010 Called for a Service Request on I-130

8/23/2010 Local Office: Info Pass Appointment (question about case I-130) at local office 2:30PM
