I often wondered if the St. Louis Cardinals were Catholic or not...

if so would they permit "master-batting" while trying to prevent a player from stealing home?

I learned something from this thread. I had no idea there are women who don't masturbate when they marry - I mean specifically for that reason - that's pretty odd behaviour in my opinion.

There was the "ewww masturbation is dirty" mentality growing up, but I suspect it was much less so with us than previous generations and I suspect it will be barely a deal at all eventually, except with the very religious.

What Joyce said about the book was interesting, I remember more than one book trying to frighten young people away from masturbation saying too much was dangerous...never said how though. That's not a good thing to give to young people who are learning about their bodies looking for information they feel too embarrassed to ask their families.

I was very popular in the days of yore but I didn't let it go to my "head"

because I never used them to gratuitously provoke sex chat as those

kinds of names would suggest. The friends I kept were ones

who could see beyond those names and only paid attention to

what I said, not what I was called. The ones that tried to draw me

into sex chat weren't worth wasting time on and I dropped them

very quickly.

Back to the topic at hand (!), and to balance the gender stuff a bit: I was reading elsewhere complaints from women who are very upset when they find out their men still strangle the stranger even in happy coupledom. I get the sense it has something to do with their worries about their attractiveness ("Am I not enough for him?"), plus control issues ("He should be saving that for ME!").
