It's hard to do a play by play when it only lasts 7.5 seconds.

He could try!

And no video -- PLEASE no video.

Edit to add: phew, looks like the moment passed too quickly to be caught on tape. Even these new generation cameras can't catch movement faster than the speed of light.

I have a great book called The Complete Medical Guide by Dr. Benjamin F. Miller. It was originally published in 1956, and I have the 1978 (4th) edition. My mother bought it around the time it was published, and I think it was considered mainstream and was on a lot of household bookshelves. I held onto it because it's culturally interesting and I really enjoyed reading it as a kid. I always remembered the odd tone of some of the more "controversial" subjects, including masturbation, because it's clear that the author thinks he's being modern and open minded, but really isn’t, even by 70s standards. "Masturbation" appears as a subheading of "Problems for Both Sexes" in the chapter on adolescence. Here's what he has to say:

"Of course, this is a problem for members of both sexes, although it is usually regarded as a special one where boys are concerned." He then explains that masturbation is a problem because sexual desire is based on a desire for intimacy, and of course, masturbation is (in this context) a solo activity. So, if you take care of business yourself, there's something clearly wrong with you. But before the reader can freak out, the good doctor says, in italics, It never causes organic or mental sickness. Well, thank Jessup! This is the sentence that stuck in my memory (and made me go get the book off my shelf when I saw this thread): "If a boy or girl becomes addicted to masturbation, practicing it, let us say, daily, the problem is an emotional one which should be discussed with a doctor or counselor. The masturbation is a sign, not a cause, of emotional difficulty." The cross-reference is to a previous chapter called "The Partially Sick Mind." I'm sure little Johnny would be delighted to tell his doctor that he's been waxing his carrot six times a day. “Just get it down to every other day, Johnny!” Although I suppose it's relevant that he at least acknowledges that girls might engage in such activity as well.

What gets me is that edition is from 1978! I remember reading it as a preadolescent and wondering what the deal was with this doctor. And at that point, the book wasn't even a decade old.

Oh yes...off the subject, but this one stuck with me too. There's a brief paragraph in the pregnancy & childbirth chapter called "The Unmarried Mother," which says, "Every prospective mother has the right to good care for herself and the child she is bearing. This is just as true for the mother who is unfortunate enough to bear her child out of wedlock." That's some forward thinking, Doctor!

Anyhoo, carry on...

Two strokes, up and down.

I'd patent that technique. What a time saver!

I'm sure I was repressed. I didn't like being human growing up. I always wanted to be a machine. I'd day dream about getting new enhanced arms and legs etc....sort of like the bionic woman.

Repressed?

Sounds like you're bloody crazy! :innocent:
