Rob just reminded me of that epic thread that was recently quoted in the UK forum. Now I can't remember which thread it was linked in.

The vibrator thread? I know where that is. ;)

Well said.

As someone who has never been the marrying type, it's hard for me to wrap my mind around the idea that women would give up twiddling the bean just because they signed on the dotted line. What, is hubby going to duct-tape oven mitts to wifey's hands so she can't get waggle her fingers in "his" pink pie?

(Can't believe my first post in these venerable forums is in a thread about rubbing one out!)

It's pretty odd to try to repress all sexual urges. I do understand the idea of limiting the number of partners you have sex with for all kinds or reasons, but I can't think of one good reason not to masturbate either for health or social reasons.

Chafing?

Neither can I. It's a perfectly healthy, normal and pleasurable activity that causes (or should cause) no harm to oneself or others.

Chafing?

You're doing it wrong. ;)

I'm not actually asking people to discuss their sex lives here. What I am curious about is those women who seem to decide that, after marriage, they no longer need anything but some pure unadulterated hard knob time. They also get annoyed that anyone would even dare insinuate that they have gotten the little man in the boat wet.

See what I did there?

Euphemism alert!

Might this be a cultural phenomenon?

Although I believe that it occurs more in some cultures than others, I have come across women from my own culture who are horrified at the thought of masturbation.

Why? What is so awful about it?

LoL, maybe they are afraid of achieving something that their husband is unable to :innocent:

Some women may think that their husband will feel inadequate if they masturbate. Others maybe have great, fulfilling sex with their husbands often. whistling.gif

Surely the thing to do in that situation is discuss things with one's husband? Guessing whether one's partner is threatened by your behaviour is not very satisfactory. Talking honestly and openly would probably end with a more mutually satisfying sexual relationship.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

That's crazy. My policy (for the missus) is "masturbate away - less work for me".
