Yes, choking the chicken: an interesting term for something that is often thought of shamefully. It's funny how many people can't refer to masturbation as that - masturbation. Instead, they make up jokey terms for it to ease their own, well, unease.

Seriously, this isn't a "titilation" thread, nor is it designed for smut. I actually have a genuine interest in this subject (stop it!) and it stems from a thread I read recently where many wives steadfastly refuse to even entertain the idea of masturbation. Their bodies are for their husbands only. *Shock horror* "How dare you imply I need to masturbate when I have a strapping 50 something man to satisfy my every desire!?"

So, I'm interested. At what point did knowing their own bodies come second? Why do they feel shame towards something that is a natural part of human nature AND can play a part in a healthy sex life? Do you feel that you can be fully satiated by another if you don't know how to "pleasure" yourself?

And, why is it thought of as a shameful act, still, even to this day?

Discuss! :star:

Edited for clarity.

Don't they realize their bodies belong to their husbands, so they're allowed to play with their body with another part of their own body? It's all still his property so it's not like those rights are being infringed. Heck, she can even use toys as long as HE buys the toy thus making it his property as well.

I can't imagine sex without masturbation. It's a healthy part of one's sex life, both with one's partner present and not. Who would know better than you how you like to be touched? It's not a replacement to sex with someone else, just a complementary form of pleasure. My boyfriend lives 15 miles away at the moment, and we can't see each other as often as we'd like. Masturbation and chat-sex is pretty awesome, as I'm sure pretty much everyone on here with a normal sex drive can attest -- my 15 miles pales into insignificance compared to the distances some of the others on here are dealing with or have dealt with. I know that knowing my own body well makes me more appreciative of when someone else can make it feel good. :)

Life without masturbation... like ice cream without the cherry on top.star_smile.gif

I think you just found a loophole that would allow millions of desperate housewives the world over to masturbate to their hearts content.

I think it's much worse than that. Ice cream tastes just fine without the cherry on top.

But so much more interesting with. You're right, it's a matter of necessity rather than just indulgence.

 that's cruel
