Starting to notice VSC is catching up little by little to the 5 month goal mark. If they start getting August filers knocked out like July, then they 'should' (theoretically) be caught up near the end of January, Early February.

Pretty sure they are backlogged on I-129Fs from their 3 month hiatus of barely doing any (My guess anyway).

I really hope they approve all you August filers ASAP so then they can get us Sept. filers within our 5 months so we can have our NOA2s in February. I can't believe how I'm HOPING to get it in Feb now when before I was sure we'd have NOA2 for Christmas. Ah well..hope the waits not too much longer now that VSC is finally picking up again!

9/21/10--I-129F mailed to Dallas

9/29/10--NOA1 (email and text message)

9/29/10--Check cashed

10/1/10--NOA1 hardcopy received (dated 9/27 and sent to VSC)

10/3/10--Touched (everyone touched)

10/4/10--Touched!

04/19/11-NOA2!! (FINALLY! After 204 days)

Major change of plans - the wait was too long for us and I ended up moving to Croatia in June 2011.

Married 06/09/12 <3

9/3/12 - I-130 NOA1

So... I propose that USCIS give us a refund for however many days they are over. What was it when we paid... $435? So, $435/150 processing days = days each person pays to wait. I would like the $2.90 back for every day over they are in our processing!

I work for a government office (the helpdesk aspect as well). The people in this government agency actually care! Why can't the USCIS?!

 Can we add penalty and interest to that....with a daily accrual ?

I have an update. I called USCIS assistance line. Spoke with a drone that was reading my case off the screen. I told her it was outside of processing time. She then read more off the screen. I asked to speak with an immigration officer. She was hesitant but after me being pushy, she sent me through to one. The officer said I should receive a response from the VSC within two weeks, if I do not I should contact them again. They gave me a reference number.

So, maybe something will happen!

About previous post: I agree, instead of refunding they should make the interview process speed up :luv:

Ok so I followed your lead and just called USCIS I called the 800.375.5283. I pushed 1 for English and then 2 for status and then 6 for lost my receipt number.(I read somewhere that this got you to a person quicker.) It worked I was talking to a person in less than a minute. He was very nice but gave the usual December 10th message and said Vermont was about a month behind.. Ugh! I asked to speak to his manager and he put me through. It only took two minutes to get to the manager. He was very nice and he did look at my exact file because he called my fiancée by name. (Kind of nice to at least know that my case is actually there.) He said that they are behind but it should be soon. He said to call back in three weeks if I had not heard anything. Bottom-line not great information but it was a quick way to get to a person. Final bottom-line Still waiting. :bonk:

Did they put in a service request to VSC for you?

The first person I talked got basic information from me was about to fill out a service request (It was obvious he was not looking at my information on my case.) and then I asked to speak to a higher manager. The higher manager was looking at my information and that is when he apologized for them being behind. I asked about putting in a service request and he said he could not do it. He said the request would only have someone like himself look the file and that is what he was doing right now so there was no need. I am not sure if this is true or not and I may call again if I find out from someone else here that I would benefit from it. I feel like we are getting close but I have only seen one approval in the last two days and Monday is a holiday.

I wonder if what he said is accurate? I thought a service request was sent to your service center and it wasn't possible to talk to your service center through calling the uscis line. If what he said was accurate then you got done what they told me would be done in two weeks with a service request. :bonk:

Anyone here know?
