K-1 August 2010 VSC filer

Based on what I've seen here and on the USCIS site, I'd venture out and say the collective touch was them shelving all K-1 petitions and moving onto other visas, such as work visas and TPS's.

I say that because right around October 3rd is when VSC slowed down to a virtual halt on family based (k-1, CR/IR1)petitions.

You know....that does make sense. Hope its our turn soon, I'm sick of waiting to be happy

Just curious now that some of us are reaching the 5 month mark? Wish I could update my timeline..but nothing to update since 10/03/10, when everyone basically got touched. This just waiting sucks...wish me or someone else has news from August K1 submitters.

We are reaching the 5 months mark on Monday So we will give them a call next week.

I reach my 5 month mark since NOA1 on Wednesday. I'll be calling, emailing, and contacting a congressman.

We are at 132 days 4 months and 10 days right now. We met for the first time one year ago yesterday. I get the chance to see her a week from Monday again.

Moscow in the winter last time it was the hottest part of the summer.

Yes, I called today....our five months was yesterday. After going through the canned line of questioning, I was able to ask about my petition. The reponse was similar to what I have heard on here from others. I was told that I need to call back in 27 days becuase I would be be considered out of processing time then and that VSC is currently working on July 10th petitions. When the representative attempts to put a request into the service center, it says she cannot for 27 more days.

I assume that means when ALL July 10th are cleared out, their database will say they are working on July 11th. So, only if my petition (Aug 9th) is past what their database is working on, then I am within processing time. Then I heard the canned information about how the processing time can vary, depending on a various number of reasons, etc, blah, etc, blah, blah.

So I then asked if do not hear anything in 27 days, and call...is it possible VSC could be working on for example July 25th and I would again still be within processing time and told to call back in 15 days....and this could go on for infinity?

No response to that

So at the end of the day, I wasted some oxygen just to confirm I am a cow in the herd....MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hello vjers,

Last Thursday I reached 5 months. I called on Friday and they told the same that some one reported. They are working on July filings and that I should hear from them 30 to 60 days from the day I called. Later they told me to call them back after 45 days if I don't hear anything from them.

Oh well! I guess more waiting time for my case.

5 months today. Hopefully we are all getting close. Enjoying all these VSC approvals lately.
