Hello,

Does anyone know how to obtain a British police record/report? I lived there for over a year and I understand I'll need one for my interview. I'm in Jamaica now.

Any help will be appreciated.

Write to New Scotland Yard at Broadway, London SW1H OBG

Telephone number - 020 7230 1212

give them as much information as you can regarding the length of time in the UK, your address at that time and send them a cheque for £10.00 this is the fee you have to pay even though you may not have any convictions. I would also send them a prepaid return envelope

I thought I would post my question in here as it is the same heading - I have my police check letter dated 24 april 2006 and I understand it is valid for a year. Now my current situation I havent sent pack 3 back yet - hopefully that will be done next week, if I get an interview say september/october sometime - should I get a new police record before I fly out to america? I can show the current one at the interview as it would be valid.. Is this needed for the AOS? if so i may not have an AOS interview before April 2007. Any suggestions??

You just said what I was going to ask..... Which was how long is the UK police certificate valid for??

I got mine April too and was panicking it was only valid 6 months? Hopefully an interview for sept or oct and I don't wanna balls this up.

Can anyone double or triple confirm the validity length of the police check certificate please??

Hey Guys,

Im applying for my Police report tommorow, and I have a couple of questions, if someone would be kind enough to answer:

Do I use the 3019A Metropolitan police form or the 3019B National police form?

And should it cover me from the age of 16?

I would phone up the £1.20 p/m US Consulars help line to ask about this, but everytime I do they ussually don't know and can't give me all the information I've asked for.......I find Visajourney to be a much more reliable source of information!

Many Thanks,

Jim.
