I need to get a cookbook called "meat & potatoes"! I cook for a family of 8 and the dad is a meat & potato eater. he only likes corn or green beans when it comes to veggies! it's so hard to come up with stuff that's healthy AND meat/potatoes type meal. the last two weeks I've just thrown it out the window but the mom emailed me today asking to make some dishes that her husband will eat.

I just googled and I got a recipe for "meat & potato pie"

the mom has high cholesterol so I can't use really fatty things. it's sooo hard cooking for them

I'm writing down all sorts of things I thing are unhealthy. he should love alll of them! I think it's funny cos the doctors are always telling you to eat healthy and stuff but the ones I cook for eat like pigs

roast lamb with stuff (I actually wrote "w/stuff" on my paper)

steak w/chimichurri

pork quesadilla

beef & onion pie (like pot pie)

cornish pasty

korean shortribs

honey & chipotle ribs

meatball sliders w/ provolone and some other "stuff"

meatloaf w/ mash & corn

I'm thinking I should look at paula dean's recipes
