Good Morning Commiesunity,

I don't know how much more days in the 100 degree weather I can take...I mean, seriously, this has been going on for over a month...its like 'scorched earth' outside.

I'm drinking all the beer I can to stay hydrated :thumbs:

Seriously...this is the scvk! :help:

My son starts his 1400 mile journey today! :thumbs: He'll be here on Thurs or Fri.

I'm sorry :( I have so many things from the garden and I have this thing where I never want anything to be wasted. All our freezers are full of stuff, even the one in my garage. I have to start making things to give away. None of my friends cook so they are more likely to take things from me if they're already made :P

I do have to go to the hospital to pick up a record of my tetanus vaccination. I don't want one of those again until I have to have it!

This year, from a weather perspective only, haz been the szuck in the DC area! We had hellarecord snow in the winter, and now we're having hellarecord heat all summer. :help:

We live about a block or so off of the Potomac river and me and May walked down there last night about 8pm. It is almost completely dry! :blink: The Potomac is about 100 yards wide where were are...and yesterday May and I watched two teenage boys walk completely across it. The water never went above their waist...the river is that low. Every yard is like a haystack. I watered the lawn last night (about 10pm) just because I felt sorry for the grass! :crying:

We're having some friends over for dinner tonight (Amby...Aam is making everything...she is soaking flat noodles now...you know it will be great!) and we were planning on sitting out on the deck later in the evening...but...it will probably still be 90 degreeeeeeeezzzz... :angry:

I'm off my weather rant now :whistle:

I also finished painting our downstairs bathroom yesterday (finished AAm's upstairs bedroom two days ago). It turned out nice and she's happy :blush: That is enough home project work for the past week...now I intend on being entirely lazy for a couple dayz :thumbs:

Bishop - Sounds like you've been busy. I'm coming over for dinner if I ever make it back to the DC area!

Well...you know...I have to neglect a lot of things at home because I travel for my job 4 days a week. So, alot of this is simply catching up on stuff...plus, its nice to be home for a bit...

I'm not sure, but I think that AAm is making Pad Thai tonight...it looks like that type of noodle. Its cool to have May around now because she is learning all of AAm's cooking skills and its fun to watch them together having a great time in the kitchen. Before meeting AAm, I always thought that cooking was a terrible chore...but watching AAm has made me realize just how enjoyable it is to someone who 'knows what they are doing' :lol:...

Sure Amby, you are always welcome here if you're in the DC area.

Commiesunity - I need your advice. I am wanting to learn how to brew my own beer (basement is the perfect place for it, has full kitchen). There is a homebrewing store about 40 miles from us in Columbia. I can get an deluxe brewing kit there. However, I'm lazy. Should I get off my duff and go get the brewing kit or just sit around all day watching ESPN :rofl: ? Thoughts? :star:
