Bishop/Rabbi.....are you finally off the steroids ?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

In all reality, there is no such thing as a 'news broadcast' now....its all objective/conjecture...blah!

People who watch the news for an hour (or more!) per day would probably be better served if they spent that time walking around the block...

I don't entirely agree. I think it depends on the source. I watch the Jim Lehrer Newshour most evenings on PBS, and find that it remains a very good signal/noise ratio of good, useful information without the fluff and blather. I also watch the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams quite a bit -- that's less intellectual, a bit more fluff, but still meets a reasonable journalistic standard. I also watch the Sunday shows -- Meet The Press and This Week on ABC.

Of course, your comments are spot on about the wasteland that is cable news, and about most local news programming. The local news I watch mostly for sports (GO BEARS) and weather.

This photo makes me feel sad. I know we all get older, but it can be hard to see sometimes. I like Aahnold, I always have. I like his movies, I liked him as CA governor, I even voted for him back in 2003 after the Gray Davis recall.

Mansbridge is ok.

Just not Lloyd. "That's the kind of day it's been" used to give me conniptions.

The bulldog? Count Floyd used to go to the same bank as I did and we'd always see him. Full of himself but not as bad as Petey. Mansbridge is a #######. I interviewed him once, he came across as a arrogant azz, Knowlton Nash was much, much nicer.

I watch the Sunday shows sometimes but I like the MacLaughlin Group...WRONG!!! and Washington Week and the rest of them. Liked Nightline with Ted but I still catch it occasionally. BBC and DW aren't bad but CFTO Nightly News is the worst television "news" program out there. They can't go five minutes without plugging one of their own shows.

Arnold was on all manner of steroids back in the day but he's not in horrible shape. Steroids don't work if you don't kill yourself in the gym and Arnold isn't doing that anymore.
