Hello all:

this is a long and complicated story to tell, so let me make it shorter. It seems that the AOS process is taking for ever, and I am reaching my breaking point.

July 3,2009: Got married.

September 04 2009: Filling date.

October 2009: Biometrics taken.

Nobember 2009: Received EAD, Interview letter scheduled for January 05, 2010.

December 28, 2009: Received USCIS letter in mail indicating that for unforseen reasons AOS interview has been cancelled.

January 05, 2010: Showed up anyway, we were interviewed that day and got a RFE (my(petitioner)G-325 along with two 2x2 photos was missing.

January 07, 2010: Husband took those documents to the local USCIS office in person.

April 2010: We went to an Infopass appoinment. They told us that our file is pending review, therefore we have to wait.

June 29, 2010: Received letter stating that records indicate that our case is pending review.

My husband, the applicant, has called several times the USCIS phone line, and we are told to wait or information we already know. I also check my case online;Request for Evidence, Response Review. It has been almost a year since we filled for AOS, and I had to postpone our traveling plans because of this. Any comments are appreciated.

PS: We are going to contact our congressman this week.

IMO, time for another INFOPASS appointment. If the USCIS human seems non-committal -

ask for a supervisor.

If still no 'clue' given at the info pass appointment - WHILST YER STILL THERE - initiate a 'service request'.
