Rosey--

I'm so sorry for your situation--and I'm scared that exactly the same thing is about to happen to me. My case was complete at NVC in May, and I'm waiting for an interview date for Montreal...but my baby is due October 3. Montreal has a medical note on file for me; they *know* I can't travel 3000 miles from Vancouver to Montreal near my due date. But I wouldn't put it past them at all to give me a date I can't keep...and then do to me what they've done to you. I'm so upset with them, I just don't know what to do. I think my only hope is that they'll just be so backlogged they'll not end up giving me a date earlier than late Oct. And I hope my baby doesn't come late...

It's just unbelievable that they could be so heartless as to ignore all your emails. It makes me just want to give up.

C.

loto, i hired a lawyer she is saying that she will talk to the chief and try to reschedule my interview soon also mention that montreal embassy have shortage of staff and back logged too so it might take some time.

Good luck Rosey and I wish you a speedy re-schedule for your interview. Though the lawyer cannot cut short the line, probably she would be helpful. Also, try to call them on the emergency line.

Feeling your (you and baby) pain of separation with your husband, as we (my wife and daughter are in India) also do.

Loto

The other lady who is in your situation is tauruslady. She had an interview for January but had to cancel it, has been waiting since then for a reschedule.

As you have discovered, there is vitually no way to contact anyone at the consulate directly, and the only way to receive an immigrant visa appointment is to wait for them to schedule you one.

As pointed out in previous posts, there are numerous Canadian filers in this same situation (although waiting for first interview date, not a reschedule), you can read more at the IR1/CR1 Interview thread and the DCF thread. Very long and frustrating waits all around. :(

Hi,

We are on the same boat as Birdnerd already told you what happened to me.

Its been 7 months yet I am waiting for a new interview date..no avail

My spouse already went to his congressman in the US..nothing happened

My sympathy... as the agony goes on and on for the rest of us...

Even tho its hard but I will release all my worries and reboot myself to accept my fate and adapt "zero" expectations

if it comes...great of not....then can't do anything as we are powerless :crying:

What do you think if you will send post to embassy that you want to reschdule your interview again and tell them the reason what the problem you get, I think they will contact you back soon, like my case i sent the post back to consulate here after they hold my case couples day they called me back, that 's really weird sometime technology will not work well as the post I don't understand sometime why they just do weird things like when we email them but they never email us back but when we sent post then next couples day they contacted back....
