Hey guys!I WOULD LIKE to thank you for every help/advices through this whole process!!Yesterday I GOT my AP in the mail!!today I got my EAD approved!!!the email says that "Card production order"pls allow 30 days!!

Thank you so much for everyone who been part of this whole process!Now I can get my temporary permit to drive and hopefully next week I will be able to take the road test!

GOD IS ALWAYS GOOOD!

I just wanna share my joy!

What was your NOA1 date? How long did it take to get the EAD/AP?

I'm deploying soon and my wife would like to return to Korea for a majority of the time, but we are still waiting on the AP.

May 24,2010 AOS package mailed to chicago lockbox

May 26,2010 delivered according to the online USPS tracking

June 2,2010 recieved 3 text messages Notice of acceptance for EAD/AP/&AOS

June 4,2010 recieved the 3 Hard copy of the Acceptance notifications

June 11,2010 Recieved the Biometric letter for July 1st 2010

June 24,2010 Case Transfer notification email

June 28,2010 Case Transfer Notification recieved in the mail(hard copy)

June 30,2010 Case Recieved in California

July 1,2010 Biometric done

July 1,2010 Case touched for EAD/AOS

July 2,2010 Case touched again for EAD/AOS

July 10,2010 Case touched AOS

July 12,2010 Case touched AOS

July 13,2010 Case touched AOS

July 14,2010 Case touched AOS

July 28,2010 AP approved!!!

AUG 02,2010 AP got it in the mail!

Aug 02,2010 EAD approved!!!card production first email

Aug 03,2010 Got my License with my married name!!

Congrats!!! I mailed in the AOS package just a few days after yours so I hope to get our approval soon. I bet it feels good to have that weight off your shoulders.

Good luck on the process!just stay positive and pray.I had some sleepless night before I got AP/EAD approved.and that wont even help a bit!!! Everyday I went to my hubby's work and been staring my laptops screen waiting for the USCIS email.I oftened check my case several times an hour!

hello! i have a question about the EAD.

I haven't gotten my card or a letter saying that it was approved but on the USCIS case status page, it says that I was approved on the 6th of August and my Card was in production.

If i want to go get my drivers license, do i have to wait til i get an official letter or the EAD card in the mail before i go to the DMV?

or does the DMV have all this information in their system, therefore i can just walk in there?

p.s) I've had my Drivers license since 02 but because i have been out of status the past 2 years i have not been able to renew it since 2008(WEWT GOGO EXPIRED LICENSE). I do not need a learning permit. just need to go renew it.
