HELLO GUYS, IM KINDDA NEW HERE SO IF IM POSTING THIS TO WRONG FORUM SORRY :blush: ....I AM IN AOS PROCESSIN RITE NOW I CAME HERE WITH A B2 TOURIST VISA I CAME HERE TWICE NOW TO VISIT MY BF AND THE 2ND TIME WAS MY BF HE PROPOSED & WE DECIDED NOT TO BE PART AGAIN (L) ...SO WE GOT MARRIED AND HAD TO CALL MY WORK WHICH I WAS ON MY VACATION TIME THAT I MIGHT NOT COMIN BACK COZ WE DECIDED TO GET MARRIED WHICH MY BOSS CAME PRETTY UNDERSTANDIN WITH IT & TOLD ME GOOD LUCK WITH UR NEW FAMILY I KNOW UR VERY HAPPY NOW WHICH IS SO COOL.

SO AFTER WE GOT MARRIED WE DID THE AOS PROCESSIN 5 MONTHS LATER AND NOW WE GOT THE EAD & APPLIED WITH MY SOCIAL SECURITY CARD BUT THE ONLY THING WAS IT HAS A STAMP ON IT WITH " VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" WHAT'S THAT MEAN ???? CAN I GET A DRIVERS LICENSE WITH THAT SS CARD OR NOT ??? IM REALLY CONFUSED RITE NOW. :blush:

Hi and Welcome to VJ.... your social security card is marked with " VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" Which means you need a EAD to be able to work.... as you have this you are all set...

Yes you can use this SSN when applying for a drivers licence..... Once you have your Greencard you can get your Social Security card replaced with one that does not say " VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION"
