Not necessarily. However, I would be more inclined to do so if I couldn't own guns.

Because I have guns, I'm able to concentrate on other things.

It is very slight. Less than 1% per capita for both countries even though ours is "5 times higher." That ought to tell you something, if ours is 5 times higher and still under 1% the rate is very, very low in both places.

The fact of the matter is crime plays very little into the daily lives of people in either country. To insinuate we should get rid of our guns (which guarantee our government can never take away our rights) in order to be "safer" is like saying we should add another channel to our cable TV so we have something to watch.

I don't know where you get that bit about having guns to violently overthrow the government from the 2nd amendment, it surely isn't in the text.

"being necessary to the security of a free state" - that's where I get that.

You wouldn't get very far against a totalitarian government seeing as it would certainly have the military behind it.

Certainly?

his collection of vanity firearms

I have a "vanity" firearm too - the govt. says so.

That's a peculiar interpretation, a paranoid one.

Or a literal interpretation. Your choice.

As someone with experience doing security for the government, I can tell you there's a certain level of firepower necessary to deter a threat.

What threat?

A gunman?

Tanks?

Fighter Jets?

Cruise Missiles?

Not even close.

A threat where a govt. requires it's subjects to participate in health insurance programs against their will and similar rackets.

Slim, you clearly fail to interpret the data presented to you. You are basically confusing per capita with total homicides.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Was that before or after your arrest?
