Gezz I wonder why that is. Why would most other first world countries restrict or ban guns. Take away their liberty and freedom right..

Because we are not the rest of the world. Like I really give a ####### what the rest of the world is doing with gun rights.

Are you Hugo Chavez's cousin or something? Or just an i....

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

No I am American. I don't have a clue or care what you are.

And oh yeah, Venezuela.

On August 20, 2002 the Venezuelan Government under Hugo Chavez enacted the Disarmament Law under the promise of reducing the crime violence gripping the nation. Six years later the results are tragically in: Caracas, the capital and most populated city in the country now boast the dishonorable distinction of being the most dangerous metropolis in the world with a murder rate of 130 per 100,000. The citizens of Caracas are in a literal state of siege and panic. The sounds of shots are more common than the sounds of birds and that is tough when you realize that tropical Venezuela is home to 11,000 species of birds.

Answer the question.

Gone down? Are you on crack? It's the highest in the first world. Therefore, are these people living the dream you always talk about?

The murder rate has gone down by 7,000 with a population increase of 50 million. Check it out, google boy.

Fantastic  Too bad you had to find a foreign wife hey.

Now, how does this change the homicide rate? Or the reality that guns do make a place safer?

US - Homicide Rate

1998 16,914

1999 15,522

2000 15,586

2001 16,037

2002 16,229

2003 16,528

2004 16,148

2005 16,740

2006 17,030

2007 16,929

2008 16,272

Or do you want me to look at rates 20 or 30 years ago? I live in 2010, so why would I care about the 80's?

Again, twist it as you usually do. Make sure you stop the year AFTER the drop. The population has increased by 50 million, the murder rate has gone down. Fact.

I get it. You are trying to be humorous. You all ready were doing good in the other post when you mentioned Chavez.

Actually, if I was to use those stats it would look even worse for the US. Make you look like some lawless backwards uncivilized third world country.

It was advantageous for him to do so. Otherwise he would have looked more foolish than he has in other posts.

No, if you use those stats, you will see that there are 7000 fewer murders today even though there are 50 million more people here. And how many of those 50 million would fall into your ethnic, racist, stereotyping? This is quite amazing that the rate could drop so much.

What's the relevance of dropping? You are still way ahead of every other first world country per capita, which factors population differences in.

America has more Homicides per capita than China and India combined. Does that not mean anything to you? How ###### stupid can you guys be?

Overall Homicide Rate (per 100,000)

China: 2.36

India: 2.82

USA: 5.8

India + China: 2.36 + 2.82 = 5.18 ~ 2.543 billion people vs 310 million Americans

----------

Some say violence has to do with population Density

Pop density - per sq mile

China: 360

India:890

USA: 80

----------

How about comparing GDP?

GDP - Per Capita

China: $5,970

India:$2,780

USA:$47,440
