ok i got married after i applied for citizenship last week i hade my finger print i need u all help whenever i get my interview shoud i tell them that i got married last month or just not say any thing cauz in my paper sad i am single thx

It should have no bearing on your case. If it comes up in the interview, you can mention it.

One of the questions at the interview is has your marital status changed. Since it has, tell them you are married now and provide the marriage certificate.

You have nothing to worry about letting them know you got married. When I went for my interview I messed up on the date we got married cause I was so nervous :bonk:

Just let them know when you got married and give them the marriage certificate. Good luck on your interview.

11/09/09 Rec'd letter Bio Appointment

11/17/09 Bio Appointment 8am

11/20/09 Called FBI-Prints were sent back to USCIS same day.

12/03/09 Rec'd email from USCIS that the RFE was a mistake.

12/04/09 Rec'd email from USCIS saying that I have been transferred for an interview.

12/07/09 Rec'd letter for interview on 1/11/10 @11am in Fairfax, VA.

01/11/10 Interview completed. Passed test decision can't be made.

03/02/10 Contacted Senator's office...No reply yet!

03/04/10 Senator office called says can take up to 120 days.

04/12/10 Service request filed.

05/12/10 Contacted Senator's office again.

05/12/10 Told over the phone that I was approved. Believe it when I see it!

06/04/10 Senators office tells me the adjudicator who interviewed me thinks I have a criminal record. Send out all paper work showing no criminal record.

06/08/10 Leave for Canada

06/09/10 Get RCMP certificate showing no criminal record. Fax off to senators office.

06/23/10 Approved for Citizenship

06/24/10 USCIS contacts Senators office

06/28/10 Find out that I have been approved for citizenship and they are just waiting to schedule my oath.

07/12/10 Put in line for oath ceremony....wonder how long that will be!

08/18/10 Called USCIS confirmed they sent oath letter for 09/17/2010 at 9am.

09/17/10 Oath ceremony at 9am..... US Citizen!!!! Applied for passport.

the assumption is you are applying for naturalization based on 5 years, correct? Then you should mention it but it shouldn't cause any problems. I would actually get all the information requested on the N-400 form and have it available since the IO might want to know more about the spouse.

N-400 Naturalization Timeline

06/28/11 .. Mailed N-400 package via Priority mail with delivery confirmation

06/30/11 .. Package Delivered to Dallas Lockbox

07/06/11 .. Received e-mail notification of application acceptance

07/06/11 .. Check cashed

07/08/11 .. Received NOA letter

07/29/11 .. Received text/e-mail for biometrics notice

08/03/11 .. Received Biometrics letter - scheduled for 8/24/11

08/04/11 .. Walk-in finger prints done.

08/08/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Placed in line for interview scheduling

09/12/11 .. Received Yellow letter dated 9/7/11

09/13/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Interview scheduled

09/16/11 .. Received interview letter

10/19/11 .. Interview - PASSED

well but iam still wating for my marriage certificate they told me shoud be up to 2 to 6 week i got married 21 june or is there way i can call them or email or check online

If applying for the five year, a marriage certificate shouldn't be necessary, but perhaps you should be more concerned with passing the English test.
