Did you submit the G1145 in your filing? That should give you text and/or email notification when there's action... Otherwise you'll just have to wait for your NOA1, or give it a week or two and call USCIS/ask them for your receipt number...

Alternatively, if you paid by personal check and your bank provides you with a scan, the receipt number might be on the back of the check / you might need to add 1 (as in if the number is 12345, you'll want to check 12346) and check it on the USCIS site.

Dont worry! It took us 14 days to receive the text/emails...you will need tons of patience But i know how you feel.

As jcsf mentioned, once you receive your receipt numbers, you can either check it on www.uscis.gov or alternatively call 18003755283.

You can set up uscis.gov to email you on changes - we did that while our 129F was being processed. You don't get touches, but you do get an email about the decision / RFEs / etc

I did send it with G1145 so was expecting they'll update but didn't, i guess i just have to be patient and wait for at least 10 more days and do follow ups then.

Phil, it does seem to be taking about 10-14 days. I don't know when USCIS received it, but I wouldn't anticipate something from them (for you) until the 27th or 30th or so. (I'm anticipating mine, which was received on the 23rd, from the 30th to the 3rd.)

To my knowledge, lots of GVT employee take vacation in the summer more specifically August/September (labor). I'm hoping for 10 days.

Not yet, but the thing that I was _really_ waiting for has now happened: the checks have been cashed.

The emails say to wait until the hard copy arrives but it seems like that isn't a guarantee that the cases will be available online.

Can you imagine going through this process without email/the internet etc? THAT is stress!

We sent ours in 8/23 and it was received today. But I just realized I used the 12/03/09 edition for the I-485 instead of the 7/15/2010 one. And then I read about people getting their application sent back for using an older form. Oy vey. Please let that not happen to us. >_<

Do they even cash our check if we used an older edition of the form? I would hate to pay double just because of that. :S

I submitted my AOS and received NOA1 on the 11th of August. I also saw a touch on the 16th which I hoped to be my biometrics appointment.

But until now I haven't received anything in the mail. Since the post already missplaced my SSN card I am a bit paranoic.

The question is, whether I can check if they sent out an appointment letter or not? I don't want to miss the set date and I am getting anxious.
