Been exactly 13 days since i filed my application, and nothing has come up yet - no Text/emails, no NOAs in the mail, no checks cashed and no returned application! Could I safely assume that my application has been rejected and would be returned now? I am adjusting from B1/B2 visa. Does that take any longer to get into the system? No one, obviously, from USCIS call center has been able to help me. Is there any hope left?

My I-94 expires on the 1st of September. If my file is rejected, I wouldn't have enough time to file it again before 31st August. And if it goes further than that date, I would be 'overstaying' and be going Out-of-Status! Any suggestions/ideas/advices?

I feel your pain... Hoping that you're processed ahead of me; at least I have my H1B which keeps me here legally.

Have you tried calling them and saying "13" in a muffled tone so that it, you know, sounds like "30" days since you filed...

We have biometrics tomorrow. Hopefully he will be able to do it despite a cut on his pinky and middle fingers.

Hoping for a transfer or notice or interview soon!!

Ah , thanks for your kind words! Well, i did talk to them today and came to know that even if my packet is rejected and sent back to me beyond my I-94's expiration date, I would be able to send it back with whatever more is required without being 'out of status'.

And I kind of like that neat idea of yours - lemme try the muffle tomorrow What do you think would be the result? Do they go look for the application in the mail room to see if it has been ignored by mistake?

Sent in K-2 stuff to Chicago and they have got it on 19th. What is a running time on their response now?

As a matter of process it shouldn't take more time to reject a file than to action processing on one. Pretty poor USCIS form if this is the case for you (or me!) -- but government is government!

I tried what you suggested, but not much could come out positive from USCIS! All she said was to ask me to wait another week .. blah! I have no freaking clue what's happening. It is the 14th day today, without the cheques having been cashed, nor has the application been returned to me.

It took 9 days for ours to be cashed. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

I'll give it a go! Strength in numbers What options do you push when you get through coz I couldn't find (hear) one for "sent your documents but haven't got a receipt" -- only if you had a receipt, or if you had lost it...

I first hit 1 for english, then 2 for filed applications and then 6 to talk to a customer rep (Even though it's for a 'lost receipt', it works every time!).

And as fate would have it, before I could lose it completely, I have received the acceptance emails/texts! Only I know how i feel right now.. haha
