Hi Everyone Happy New Year! I noticed few people with interviewed scheduled 1st week of January. Mine in 01/05 just wanted to wish everyone and myself the very best. Sharing timelines and experiences here helps with the nerves but I can certainly see being a bit nervous.

I have my interview at 9:45am tomorrow....Amazingly I'm not nervous! who knows maybe as the hours go by my nerves will start to kick in ....Wishing everyone who has an interview this week all the luck in the world!!!

Approved! Approved! Approved!!!!... Interview went VERY well. whole interview process took abt 10mins. My hubby and i got to the USCIS Charlotte NC location at 9:30 for our 9:45 appointment. We were checked in and sitted by 10. at 10:15 the IMO called us in. He was a young looking caucasian guy, maybe in his middle to late 30's. he swore us in and the next thing he said was " lets try to figure out how we're going to fit your name onto your card" lol ( i admit i do have a very long name lol). I immediately felt as easea after hearing him say that because i knew in my heart i wasn't going to be leaving that office without an approval. He didn't ask us ANY qeustions. he only asked to see our ID's and evidence that we were married. He mad fun of our pictures mainly because he said he was suprised i didn't bring a big scrapbook with me lol, i told him i was intending to, but hubby told me it would be too much . we finally figured out how to handle the issue with my long name and he asked me the questions on the I-485, stamped the paper he was looking through with the approval stamp and we were done. I asked if he was going to stamp my passport and he said no because i should receive my card in 7-10 days but if i needed to travel for an emergency i could always come in for the stamp. Thanks to everyone on VJ for all the help!!!!! But most importantly thanks to God for his NUMEROUS blessings! without him i wouldn't be here today!!!! Finally my 10yr journey has ended..well atleast for the next 1yr 7months lol...Good luck to all who are waiting!!!

You'll be fine, God willing! It's ok to be nervouse, it keeps your mind going about things you need to remember lol....just remember the IMO is just a human being like you no need to be afraid....I'll keep you in my prayers, all will be well!!!!! Let us know how it goes.

Hello everybody, i dont know what that means, but me and my husband we were interviewed together we macth the questions, by the way he was like a little bit rude or I dont know if is their job... and then he wrote something on my passport....is this ( section 245 interview 01/03/11, cr# my A# I-485 pending NYC and the officers name) is a bad thing?

And our interview was fine, and he gave us a paper that says you file has been held or something like that and that they dont need more information or documentation from us, that they will send the decision in 60 days.

Just got home from a rather eventful day to say the least. Got to the interview of time - waited to be called then once we were - met with IO who was NOT friendly AT ALL. At that point we were swored in and asked us bunch of stuff from forms, looked at out proofs and asked us to sign the forms. then he handed us RFE for certified deposition from traffic case back in 2008 (I didnt even know traffic violation can impact AOS but apparently it does . I explained that cases were expounged but he just told us that he will review the file once we send him that document. we immediately stopped by the court and got the papers he asked us so will send those in and then........ waiting continues.... :-(

Anyone else ever experienced this?

I don't know the meaning of what he wrote, but sometimes they just want to do further background check, or i've heard cases where the IMO didn't have enough time to review your case before the interview so they don't make a decision right away....But i'll keep you in my prayers, God willing you'll hear something good soon.

ohhh no they did not ask for nothing they gave me this. your case is being held for file review in order to prepare a decision. you will be advised by mail as a to a decision on your aplication. no aditional information is necessary from you at this time, however, if upon further review, additional information or evidence is required, you will receive a notice in the mail. please respond to any requests in a timely manner,. failure to do so will result in denial of your application

Sorry, but was the traffic violation the beneficiary's or the petitioning USC's?

It's also pertinent what kind of traffic violation it was. DUIs are considered felonies, whereas other violations are misdemeanors (or even just civil fines).

The violation was not carrying proof of insurance with me in the vehicle.

It was mine (beneficiary) I wasnt carrying proof of insurance in the car which I had just renewed. Case was dismissed in court after I showed them that I had insurance.
