Wow, it's so fancy, with all it's anti-counterfeit features. Even comes with it's own sleeve to block wireless communications. Very Nice....

I'm going through the checklist on the AOS interview letter. Everything is clear, except for:

- all documentation establishing your eligibility for lawful permanent resident status;

- original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application.

What are these documents exactly?

The basis of your AOS is your marriage to a USC following the K1 visa, so your eligibility documentations is your K1 NOA2 approval, your K1 visa (but you were bringing your passport anyway ), and a certified copy of your marriage certificate.

where do I get a CERTIFIED copy of my marriage certificate? I went to the county office where we received the marriage license and I got a marriage certificate. obviously not the original because the original remains in the public records, so I suppose that this is a copy, but there is no certification whatsoever. On the other hand, it's not a simple photocopy which is what I made at FedEx Kinkos and sent along with the AOS package.

You can get the certified copy of marriage on the same court office yo got your marriage lice! Every state is deferrent but in my case they just charge $5... it was pretty fast!

ok, I got a certificate at that same office and spent $14. That's the only option they had, I didn't see certified or uncertified. I guess that what I got is fine then.

awesome... the one I send with the package had like a gold stamp! and it was totaly different from the original one!

Received AP and Biometrics appointment notice on Saturday. The bio appointment notice is for Nov 29. I will try a bio walk-in on thursday. Any suggestions?

Had my gc interview this morning, and got approved!!! The IO did not exactly say that we are approved (but she said that everything looks fine), she said they have to do some background checks, it is a procedural thing so there is nothing to worry about..

The inverview went very smoothly. She asked about my job in Turkey and asked a few questions about my husband's job..and she asked some of the questions on the i-485 form. Then she wanted to see our supporting documents (she did not check all of them ), she just took our bank statement, lease aggrement and lease insurance, a photo from our reception and our passports. Then she went to make a copy of them. That was it! It only took 5 minutes, then we were done..

I still can't believe that this thing is over,so no more paperwork for 21 months!!!

Our certified copy of our marriage license just has a slight embossing on it. We ordered two when we brought in the original. When we colour copied it, it looked exactly the same as the original except that you can tell where the seal has been stamped on the original. Check your copy for anything like that.

Had bio appt today finally. Only took 3 months exactly since I originally mailed it in. When we got home I checked online and my EAD card has been ordered! Yay! Just in time for a bit of extra money for Christmas.

SSN got changed today so that "limitations" of having a work permit stamp comes off it

Nice! I guess they're moving along then. You're a few days ahead of me in filing with Boston. Did you see any status changes or touches online prior to getting your letter?

My 485/130 hasn't been touched since the day after biometrics and a phone call to the help desk asking if the app had been forwarded to the Boston office yielded nothing.
