With all the build-up to the interview being anti-climatic, the interview itself was a breeze .... probably the most sweet-spoken I/O they have anywhere in the US! She was an Asian lady... and took no more than 10 mins of ours! She said I am approved, and that the green card would be on its way, reaching me in 10 days or so!

Thank you Visa Journey, for serving as an amazing platform for immigrants. Thank you, all the members who have helped us through the process - and we could make do without an attorney! And, thank you, all the well-wishers!

Received our interview date notification today!!!!!

Timeline:

8/27 - Mailed AOS & EAD packets (myself, husband & two sons)

9/2 - All Received at USCIS

9/14 - NOA1 hardcopies received for all 4

9/23 - Biometrics Appointment Notices received all 4

10/14 - Biometrics Appointments Scheduled date

9/24 - Successful biometrics walk-in

9/27 - Touch on all 4

11/1 - E-mail notifications: 2 of the EADs approved and card production ordered

11/3 - E-mail notifications: other 2 EADs approved and card production ordered

11/4 - Touch on all 4

11/5 - Touch on all 4

11/5 - Interview notification received

12/10 - Interviews

Thank you. I just received a text/email that my GC has been sent to production.

I would like to confirm one thing here - when I checked my status for I-485 online the same evening as my interview, it said : Card Production Ordered. And when I checked for I-130, it said 'initial review'. What's noteworthy here is that these two applications had not been available online until the day of interview, for me!

Does it mean that my green card is in the mail?

Card production means they're printing it.....you get another notice after it's been printed saying you're approved....but yah you can assume since they're printing one you're approved....but just wait for the next notification of the approval.

Does anyone knows if my 9 year old son has to appear for interview too? We both received the notice for interview and we came on a K1 and K2 visa but I am not sure if he is required to appear in the interview.

Got my EAD Card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And got paper notice of GC being approved!
