Well, if biometrics is between you getting the EAD then they'll make sure you get that. Your objective is EAD, which is what you should emphasis on when speaking to the Congressman personnel. I would

Received fancy EAD card and AP papers in the mail today. EAD card came in an envelope that looked like it was from a credit card company, no USCIS label or anything, so don't throw away supposed junk

Congratulations how many days did it take?

Seems like alot of people got notices on 10.20.10 how many actually already received their card?

So far in August filers we have 2 Green Cards approved (correct me if I'm wrong)

People please update your timeline if possible.

Congratulations how many days did it take?

Seems like alot of people got notices on 10.20.10 how many actually already received their card?

So far in August filers we have 2 Green Cards approved (correct me if I'm wrong)

People please update your timeline if possible.

Well about 85 days from the day i sent the package out. I can't believe it was so quick.

From package sent to receiving the card in the mail was 82 for us.

Oh wouah under 90 days. When I called on the 19, i was told that Boston is taking 5months for I 485.

At least we will get the EAD soon

We are being processed through Fairfax, and still waiting here too. My husband (I'm the USC) called the other day and they put in a service request but ... nothing yet. The 485 still isn't showing up online either for us so I can't even see if anything has been touched. :\

We filed with a lawyer and called him about it last week too, he said all the cases he's seen processed through Fairfax in the last couple of months have taken about 2-2.5 for a biometrics letter. Hopefully something will happen for both of us soon!!

This actually makes me feel better. We're still (officially) waiting on her labor certification from 2001 (we've given up hope, mind you), so I was afraid we'd fallen into an abyss on this, too. As long as someone else is where we are on this, I won't feel too bad about it. Frustrated? Definitely. Bad? Not yet!

From what I've seen it seems like that's par for the course around here. :\ Good news, though - we received the biometrics appointment in the mail yesterday, date 10/22 and postmarked 10/25! Appointment is set for 11/19, so I'm sure yours is right around the corner! Not sure if the service request made a (really fast!) difference or if it's a coincidence but there it was! No touches or texts or anything to tip us off, just a welcome surprise!

Well, we finally received our Bio letter in the mail yesterday for 11/15 appointment :thumbs: . We are in the Wahington, DC/Alexandira area and hopefully walk-in is accepted (few VJers indicated before). It took over 2 months to get this letter and it is finally here. So whats up with this, I already received 3 emails for our EAD, 2 of them where saying that our card was on production and today I received another email saying that the EAD is aproved.... whats up with that? the web says that is in Post Desicion activity... thats weird! :huh:

same thing happened to me too.. but i think there is nothing to worry about, we will probably receive the card within a few days..

Good luck! We will be attempting a walk-in next week, too. Hope it's as successful as it has been for other VJers who have gone to the Alexandria location!

I was just going to ask about this! We got our bio appt letter today, scheduled for November 18. Does Alexandria generally do OK for walk-ins? Any tips? (i.e. "show up before 11" or "don't go on Wednesday")
