I just created an account.

My package was received on the Aug 27, I received the notice on Sept 2nd. On the case status , it says I485 was last updated on Sept 8th ad I130 and I765 were last updated on Sept 17th.

What does that mean?

Thanks for the advice for concerning the congressman. I am actually the US citizen and my wife is the applicant, she doesn't have a job offer ( hasn't actually looked for jobs since she doesn't have EAD) but I might as well contact the congressman.

Where can I find the contact info for the San Diego congressman?

Hi everyone,

I filed AOS on Aug27th. Got the receipt notice on Sept 2nd. Still no biometrics appt letter, so I placed a service request last Monday.

I have a few questions.

1- Do you guys think I shouldn't wait until the service request and just schedule an infopass?

2- Is my case still being processed ( I-485, 864. 765, 130) while I'm waiting for the biometrics.

3- Why do some of you to walk in biometrics instead of going on the date on the notice? Does it make a difference.

4- How can I check on my case status? I have MSC numbers on the receipt notice for I485, 130 and 765 but nothing is ever updated on the uscis case check website.

5- What does "touched" mean in your timelines? How do you know your case is being transferred to another place?

You walk in to do it earlier than your appointment date, so things will start moving along even earlier

It means that some officer touched or took a look at your cases. It can be everything like nothing.

Be happy that at least is in movement. My Aos has been untouched since Aug 8 and i'm still waiting for my EAD to come in the mail, it was approved on Oct 1.

My wife's EAD was also touched on 10/8/2010. We received the AP document on 10/9/2010. We should be receiving the EAD shortly - maybe even this week.

it depends.. it might be crowded early in the morning, or around lunch time.. i think the best time to go is around 3 pm. i did go at 3.15 pm, and nobody was there, so they just let me in. but this was my second attempt. i went at around 11 in my first try, and it was crowded so they just did not let me in, even if i told them i could wait...

wowww! your ead and ap got approved pretty fast! did you try to expedite the process through your congressman or is it just like you're one of the lucky people?

Expedited thorugh congressman... Not sure how long it would have taken otherwise. Works out well now because my wife is expected to start working in about 2 weeks.

Successfully did my walk in Bio metrics today.. What a relief that was done.. I went in around 10.20 and was done in no less then 10 mins. There were hardly any people in the office so it was very easy. They did not even mention the date on the letter and just let me go straight through.. i was actually called up before I had even competed the paper work.

Hoping now for a speedy card production so that I can get back to work.

Do you require the actual EAD card in your hands before you can start work or is the approval enough to start?

Bio appointment letter in the mail today

The appointment would be for the 20th, but I'll try to go there later today, like at 3:40 or so. Hopefully I'll "gain" one week.

Approved pending security checks. Not quite sure what that means. He said our case seemed straightforward and that we should probably get a letter in 2-3 weeks.
