does that office have competence over other areas other than Des Moines? Maybe if it covers other parts of the Midwest, there could be more applications pending. I figured that up there USCIS doesn't have much to do.

Des Moines hosts all of Iowa. They don't do any other Mid-West states....each state I believe has their own offices

They have not been touched since mid August.. Fingers crossed but hey still no biometrics letter so doesn't really matter until that is done

I`m glad to see so many people have gotten their EAD`s and biometrics already. I still haven`t gotten either yet. I`m kind of starting to get worried that something may have been lost.

I still can`t check the case status of my EAD online. I called today but the lady said that I had to wait 60 days before they`d inquire about the Biometrics appointment and 90 days for the EAD. ( I might have that backwards but i`ll be calling on day 60 anyway). Is anyone else waiting this long for these things. anyone else have Raleigh as a local office.

L's biometrics is tomorrow. I think we might try to walk in earlier, because there's an exhibit at the museum I want to go to.

I called them. Talked to a guy. Gave him our 2 case numbers (AOS & EAD)

1) AOS-- looked up our local office said they're currently interviewing those from March 27/2010.

He said we're getting an interview since Family AOS is dealt w/ the local offices and we aren't getting transfered.

2) EAD-- Said it went to the National Benefits Center and right now they're taking 3 months to process.

The guy you talked to on the phone is blowing smoke. We're a K1/FB AOS too, and we are not likely to be interviewed, as Des Moines transferred us to CSC. Keep in mind, unlike other FB AOS visa holders (such as people who enter on tourist or dual intent visas like the H1B), K1s are interviewed regarding their relationship as part of the K1 process.

For whatever it is worth: I did attend his K1 interview, and we were both interviewed in Rio.

not to contradict the USCIS guy or to be offensive in any way, but how many family based AOS interviews will there be in Des Moines, Iowa?

lol that's what I was wondering! I know there's a few others on here that have similar timelines to me and we're dealing w/ Des Moines.....

FWIW, I know of about 2 people on VJ from the state beyond myself and jules... and while I know a ton of people IRL that have had FB AOSes, none of them filed in Iowa. Edited by K and L

Hi, all

I have applied for 130, 131, 485, 765 and my cases are at NBC right now.

My case had not been seen on the site until I walked-in for the biometrics(9/13)

Then only two (485, 765) are on site(9/15) since, and not been updated.

Is this usual, not being touched for almost three weeks?

Good luck with you all...
