Yes!!! Received our biometrics appointment notices today.

Timeline:

8/27 - Mailed AOS & EAD packet

9/2 - Received at USCIS

9/14 - NOA1 hardcopies received

9/23 - Biometrics Appointment Notices received

10/14 - Biometrics Appointment

Did you expedite your case through the congressman or anything like that?

I've been waiting a while for my biometrics appointment, and until now I assumed the ASC must be really busy! ...But if you got yours without expedite.. them something must be wrong with my case

I asked for an expedite a few weeks ago because my step daughter will "age out" on November 21!! So here is the response I received today:

"Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests. While your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need."

No I didn't request an expedite or anything...so I really can't explain the delay on yours. But relax, it's more than likely just an admin glitch - I'd do the Infopass anyhow to make sure. Even though tomorrow's a Friday I'm going to attempt an afternoon walk-in for biometrics at Taylorsville. Will let you know if that is successful. Good luck with yours and kep us posted!

Unless she was trying to ditch me, she said that the system showed they were in the process of updating me with the appointment, today, Thurday, September 23rd She also mentioned that it will be mailed out and if I don't get it in 30 days, I should call them again.

I wanted to say that if I don't get it next week, there will be no need for it, as my husband will divorce me, he's so fed up with my stressing over this

Good luck tomorrow. From what I read, Fridays and Mondays are the worst ones.. but it doesn't hurt to take a shot. If not, there's always Wednesday As for the hours, the reports are contradictory. People seem to have a higher success rate early in the morning, but sometimes afternoon works for their application center.

Be prepared to have a formal excuse ready - in case they ask. Planning a trip, dog's vet appointment... and if they ask, you forgot the "evidence". Puppy face and smile

Finally got my Biometrics Letter yesterday after 5 weeks of waiting and took my Biometrics today.

Got an email this evening saying that EAD card production order has been issued!

successful for my biometric today,,even have a bad weather here and lots of road closed,,,Thank u GOd my EAd is availabe online now,,,

sept.16,2010...transfer to CSC..

Sept.17,2010...touch AOS

Sept.20.2010...received transfer notice in the mailbox

SEPt.23,2010...EAD and AOS touch........done also today for my biometric sked

Unless she was trying to ditch me, she said that the system showed they were in the process of updating me with the appointment, today, Thurday, September 23rd She also mentioned that it will be mailed out and if I don't get it in 30 days, I should call them again.

Thanks for your advice, Katleen and I truly am not going with high expectations because there are 4 of us - my two sons, hubby and myself. But it's worth a try because I really need to get a job

I bet there was just an oversight with yours and now that you've brought it to their attention it'll move fast. Hopefully you have something in the mail by the end of next week - I'm holding thumbs (for both of us) and saying a little prayer for you. tell your hubby to take a chill pill and relax, this ordeal will be over soon. I know how stressful it is though and it's hard not become obsessed by it all because after all, this is our life we're dealing with! Lol - hang in there!

Still haven't gotten my biometrics appointment and for some random reason only my I-130 and I-765 are showing up on the USCIS case status.

Anybody having similar problems?

This waiting is driving me crazy!!!!

I got a notification that the EAD card notice is in mail - does it mean that the EAD card itself is in mail? I hope it is!

That's fabulous! Wow and quick too - hope mine's as fast. Yes, I believe your EAD is in the mail...Your case is proof that an early biometrics walk-in does speed things up, I'd say.

Sonblom, I don't think they'll turn you away, and you can especially use the excuse that it's hard to get your family together for something like this (different schedules bla bla bla).

But if they do turn you away, make sure you ask when do they have a lighter schedule. Most of the guys at the ASC are nice enough to tell you.

First notice today since NOA,... we were transferred to CSC without even getting a biometrics letter first. What's up with that? I'm hoping this turns out to be a good thing. Anybody else in the same boat?
