Hi,

I received my transfer notice before my biometrics appointment too. Sometimes it happens, maybe your ASC is too busy. I never heard of an AOS going through without biometrics so it's not just posible it is sure you will get an appointment letter

Thanks for letting me know. That is what I think it will happen in my case. I was very surprised they told me over the phone that it was "possible" that they send me one...

ok, I was just wondering because USCIS received my AOS package 20+ days ago and I still haven't received the bio appointment letter. I don't feel like calling yet because the few times I did in the past I had the impression that I was wasting my time.

We have similar time lines... and my case hasn't been touch or nothing since the noas approved date!

No interview letter yet. Turns out my case has been in queue for interview date but has been cleared for Name and Background check. Need to travel and hope it wont have any conflicts with the interview date.

Saw some people from NYC already got their interview dates, so as long as my NOA1 history doesn't repeat hope it will come by the end of the week.

i just received a Transfer notice today in the mailbox that my I-485 application to adjust to permanent resident status is transfer to California service center,I file too a EAD,but only my AOS is transfer,,,Do my EAD was left in chicago?do they separate process?What does it mean?if they will transfer?My schedule for my biometric is this coming september 23.....

this is my timeline for my AOS

August 14,2010...mail my AOS and EAD in post office

August 17,2010...recieved my AOS and EAD in the USCIS

August 23,2010,,recieve email and text for my EAD and AOS

August 25,2010.NOA1 hardcopy in tha mailbox,,for my EAD and AOS

Sept.01,2010...recieved biometric schedule sept.23,2010...i did not do walk in biometric as no one can drive me there as its far from our place

SEpt.20,2010,,,recieved transfer notice from USCIS in tha mail box......

you usually get a transfer notice for just the AOS.It means that you will probably not have to go through a AOS interview.Does not necessarily mean people who have got transferred will be approved faster than those who have not though.

You will have to complete your biometrics for progress on your EAD though.Nothing is affected by the transfer ,so you can relax

Checking USCIS website everyday. Turns out we got a notice (online for now) that the AOS case has been transferred to CSC. I'm assuming this means the AP and EAD are also transferred there?

Wife completed biometrics yesterday in Port Chester, NY. They said that fingerprints were "OK" but there's a chance they may have to re-take them if the images don't come out too clear. Anyone ever run into that problem? I thought they can instantly tell if the image is/isn't clear.

Just curious as to what you are basing your estimated times on for EAD and AOS and AP ?

The VJ timelines & statistics. If you fill out your timeline, VJ gives an estimate for EAD and AP, based on the recent timelines submitted. For instance, your EAD should be adjudicated around 24-31 Oct and your AP around 20-27 Oct. If you look at the timeline statistics for AOS, it says that typically,a decision is made ~71 days after biometrics, thatEAD is being approved ~31 days after biometrics, and AP is approved ~57 days after the NOA.

Yes, I called to see if I can expedite the interview but I didn't quite met the criteria. Anyhow, they said the case has been in queue for interview schedule since Sept 9th.

Was informed that my AP hasnt been approved, not sure about EAD as none of my cases have been touched in a month.

To your point, yes NYC office is slow but I am seeing majority of NYC people who filed around my date, some after me, has received the interview letter. Well, except you but lets hope it come soon for us both

So as you see on my signature, i have my AOS/EAD timeline......since I got my Biometrics letter we haven't heard anything.

Is it safe to say then they haven't transfered it to CSC and that the local office is dealing w/ it?

Or are they waiting for me to finish the biometrics?

I am going to try a walk-in appointment next Tuesday for my biometrics, as I stated a few posts above....haven't had any replies regarding the best time to go for Des Moines,IA

Are you still planning to try a walk - in today? Let us know how it goes?

Thats what I thought but the 2nd level IO told me that its been cleared and approved! Quite honestly, I was pleasantly surprised

Finally i can check online my AOS now...last touch of my AOS was sept 17,2010...and was transfer last sept.16.2010 in CSC........
