I got a touch for each of my pending cases (AOS, AP, EAD) yesterday. on a saturday. It must have been the janitor or the ladies cleaning the offices (aka las señoras de la limpieza).

On Friday my wife received her letter stating that she is scheduled for an interview on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010.

I was hoping her application would be transferred to CSC so that we can skip the interview, but that's ok, we have 6 weeks to prepare, and some folks on VJ have said that it can take longer to get your GC when your case is transferred than when you're scheduled for an interview instead. At least we don't have to worry about her case getting lost at CSC. Anyway, time to get busy and start getting our evidence together.... :)

when you log in you see the date under "last updated". that date changes whenever they do something with your file (as far as I know, even when they move it from one desk to another).

You are the first one, I think, amongst the August filers who got to the stage of interview. Congratulations!

Though I understand that you were hoping to not have an interview, I do agree with what others said that CSC is a double-edge sword. With interview one probably gets approved on a spot or at least can tell if they were/did or not. So, I thin its a good news.

Good luck, hoping myself to get letter soon.

You just have to wait, then. Not all cities allow walk-ins. You might want to write a review of the USCIS location so others know your biometrics walk in was denied.

Thanks for your reply.. I think i am gonna give it a second try on tuesday.. Because when we got there (at around 11 am), it was pretty crowded. i am planing to go at around 3.30 or 4 pm on tuesday, maybe they let us in this time.. wish me luck though :)

Congratulations to you - it makes you the first August filer to get the interview letter! And it answers my prior question too - it's taking around 40 days, like in July, to get the interview letter. I hope the trend continues :-)

Don't get too worked up; we got our NOA on the 2nd as well, and just got our biometrics appointment this weekend.

If you haven't done so, register with USCIS and add your MSC#s from your NOAs to your profile, and see when the last time it was touched was. More than likely, it was touched the 8th/9th/10th and your letter is coming soon. :)

Finally received my NOA1!, I had a question did anyone use the I-485 form dated 12/03/09, they say its still accepted but did anyone get a RFE for that form?

We used that form too, but there haven't been any problems so far. In fact, we've received hard copies of our NOA1s as well as the biometrics letter. (Our ASC office isn't very busy. We live in Northern Minnesota which is not exactly an immigration hub :hehe: )

HOWEVER, I've read of other people who've used the 12/03/09 form and have had their packet returned. I don't think there were any RFEs so far, the packet was simply returned.
