Question how do you check your status online?

you need to create an account and add all the case codes that you want to track.

I guess it's too early to ask, but how soon can one expect the interview letter? I was looking at the average wait time from previous months, and it looked like it takes somewhere between 40 and 60 days to get it. Any comments?

That seems about right. Earlier filers seem to have gotten their EAD & AP approvals by the end of the 2nd month and have their GC interview by the end of the 3rd month. So for August filers, depending on what part of the month they filed in, EAD & AP approvals can be expected before the end of Oct and GC interviews before the end of Nov. Hopefully, if all goes well, by Thanksgiving we will all have our GC's and all be working by Christmas.

I think it depends on how busy your local ASC office is. I received my hardcopy NOA1 on a Thursday and received the

biometrics appt letter just a few days later on Monday, however, there are some July filers who live in the Dallas area who are still waiting for their biometrics letter because their ASC office is backed up.

OMG I can't imagine them throwing u back like that because of their work flow!! I'm in Baltimore MD... Hope to receive that letter this week!!!! I can't wait!

i just received my biometrics app. letter on tuesday and tried to do an early walk in today, but the security guy did not let me in. he said i have to wait until my appointment day. and as you can see from my timeline, my appointment is scheduled for Sept. 27. It is not that late but i wanna do the biometrics as early as i can, if it really does speed up the process.. so is there anyone who had to try to do an early walk in twice and succeeded? so should i go and give it another try on tuesday or sth? or should i just wait?

I received email notifications on August 25th (NOA1 hardcopies on Aug 30th), and haven't received my biometrics appoinment notification, nor is my case available on-line. I called USCIS and they said everything was OK, and that everything was according to regular schedule. I am just going to wait (like if I had any other option...)

You just have to wait, then. Not all cities allow walk-ins. You might want to write a review of the USCIS location so others know your biometrics walk in was denied.

We still have nothing and we are at 18 days. Anyone else waiting still? Have to wait this long? I have thought about calling USCIS, but I don't think there is anything they can tell me because it won't show in their system at all until it has at least been received.

Well it took us 14 days to get the text/emails, and 20 to get it in the mail! What you might do is call the 1800-375-5283 number, hit 1 - 2 - 6 and connect with a customer care rep ... tell him/her it's been more than 10 days since you filed, and your call would be escalated to an I/O. You might get some help there, probably by giving them your name and DOB. Also, maybe since there was a long weekend in between, you might want to wait another day or two before getting really worried about it. But do call, it won't hurt. Have the cheques been cashed yet?

Received our biometrics appointment today for October 05 schedule. I'm kinda confuse though... do kids have to do biometrics too? My son is 9 years old and he has a schedule same as mine. I thought they don't have to do biometrics if they are below 18?

Finally received my NOA1!, I had a question did anyone use the I-485 form dated 12/03/09, they say its still accepted but did anyone get a RFE for that form?
