I'm starting to really worry! Everyone seems to be getting their NOA-1 very quickly! It's been 9 days and we still haven't heard anything! All we know is that it was delivered the day after we put it in the mail!

This seems to be a game of patience. I sent my paperwork to the visa service ($595) on Aug 4th..It took till Aug 10th for them to process and send it ....to the wrong address in Vermont...Vermont forewarded it eventually to Texas...my check cashed on Sept 3. Waiting on the Noah 1 to come in the mail.

I'm starting to really worry! Everyone seems to be getting their NOA-1 very quickly! It's been 9 days and we still haven't heard anything! All we know is that it was delivered the day after we put it in the mail!

Ours was delivered the day before yours, and we just got our texts/emails yesterday (no hard copy yet). I bet you get yours on Tuesday if you didn't get one today.

Also, Not many of us around here! I know of two others (but I'm the only one of the four of us whose spouse's native language *isn't* English)

Hey everyone... Yesterday I received 6 emails notifications that the USCIS received my AOS with 3 different MSC #... I have a question... my AP and EAD are in initial review but the other # it says: your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case>... Its this the information for my AOS? or just for the biometrics? i don't understand!

FWIW, this is our I485 email notification:

Dear Applicant/Petitioner:

Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number MSC1032917062. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your application/petition. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your application remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your application/petition must be verified with USCIS.

And at USCIS.gov, it says:

{*} Acceptance

On September 2, 2010, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

So either we both get RFEs or this is standard text for the biometrics letter. (Unlike the I485, the I131 and I765 both have Initial Review instead of Acceptance, so I *think* this is the standard text.)

Buuuut... Our case numbers still don't work on the website. Come on guys, you just took $1010 from me! The least you could do is let me stalk you somehow. :(

So, I just called today (in the same boat as you two), and the CSR at USCIS couldn't tell me what was going on. She escalated my call, and the next person I spoke to told me that they're "in the process" of transitioning to an updated system, and that, for reasons nobody seems to be able to explain, some cases aren't entered into the system properly. Further, they can't seem to resolve it. Useful, eh?

She assured me that we're awaiting a biometrics appointment, that we're in the queue for that appointment, but that she didn't have an estimated date (probably standard).

She also encouraged me to call back at any time if I had further questions, which suggests to me that my case number won't show up for a while...

It looks like some of us are having delays with our cases being uploaded to the USCIS website (and possibly with our biometrics appointment letters being issued.)

I just checked my cases in the USCIS website, and none of my cases have been uploaded. (By my cases, I mean AOS, EAD and AP.) All of my cases NOA1 hardcopies state as the Received date: August 17, 2010 (3 weeks ago!) and as Notice Date: August 25,2010 (2 weeks ago!). Also, I have not received my biometrics appointment letter. I called customer service, and after being transfered to the second escalated CSR, she mentioned that all that she could say was that my cases were received, and that I would have to wait for an update...She could not provide further information. I'll check the USCIS website again tomorrow.

Best of luck to everyone!
