I just received 6 Text at 9P eastern with 3 different receipt numbers! Yeah...

How i'm waiting for hard copy and checks to clear.

So I have questions

1-what does TOUCHED means?

2- So now I got the text does it automatically mean that my application was filed out correctly and they won't be returning the package for more documents.

We didn't file for AP so we only have 3 Receipt Numbers.

Touched is the last updated date on the USCIS website. So if it said last updated 8/31/10 that means that it was touched today. It could mean anything or nothing. They scan them when they are first filed, and when their moved, when an action is taken, etc. Then again you might not get any touches. It just depends.

The text simply means they got it and that there were no hugely obvious mistakes. You may still get an RFE later for more information when your case is being adjudicated.

I did it throughout the K1 process. The adjudication times for the K1 were fairly accurate UNTIL the interview stage -- our original interview date was 3 weeks sooner than anticipated!

(And I'm hopeful that L will be employable in time for seasonal retail - it may be a ####### job, but any job is better than NO job.)

just for clarification guys, i applied AOS with EAD and AP, How many receipts should i have ?

got 3 txts and 3 emails today but only 1 set of receipt numbers..

People on this particular thread do not file for I-130 as they came on Fiance or other family Visa and as part of that visa they had already filed for I-130 and only need to file for AOS, EAD(optional) and AP(optional). You are probably on some visa other than family and thats why you filed for I-130. You should have 4 NOAs, if you filed all 4 forms.

I guess you are absolutely correct. I am adjusting from B2 visa, and hence the I-130! What i figured out was that it might take some time for the I-131 to be put into the system. Nonetheless, I have reapplied for Advance Parole today. I also remembered that I have put in two pictures less, by mistake! Well, let's see how the process goes forward. I might still get a RFE for the original I-131 that i filed.

You should get three unique receipt numbers. If you didn't already get them, you will soon. It might take a couple more days for the other receipt numbers to be generated.

We sent my wife's AOS/EAD/AP on 8/25 to the Chicago Lockbox. It's been a week, no NOA1, no check cashed, no text, nothing. And we live 2 hours from Chicago! We'll keep waiting...

No worries. A lot of us here got texts, emails and check cashed after 10 to 15days after receipt. I got mine cashed after 11 days. A little more patience :-)

same here (including the I-693 transcription by a civil surgeon...), we sent it out via UPS on the 25th and it arrived on the 27th. and we haven't received anything yet, nor has our check been cashed. from what I've read, it takes about 15-20 days to receive emails/mails. so it's just a matter of days.

We just got our paper NOA1's in the mail. They say our received date was on August 2nd and the notice date is August 6th. (although we only just got the receipt emails on Friday).

Hi all, i received my confirmation email and texts from USCIS a few minutes ago!!! here goes the uscis journey again, at least this time the journey and waiting will be easier now i am here with my husband.

Thank God after 13 days finally got my email confirmation from USCIS. I received 5 emails with 5 unique receipt numbers starting with MSC since I have sent AOS, EAD and AP for me and for my son AOS and AP.

Waiting game goes on... check still not cash though

8-24-2010 Received texts/emails of acceptance, Finally!

8-27-2010 Cheques cashed / Biometrics appointment on 9-21-2010

9-01-2010 Received NOA Hardcopies and Biometrics appointment letter!

We sent our file out 8/23, it arrived 8/25 and we got 3 texts as well as emails today stating that our application has been received. However, our receipt numbers don't show up on the USCIS case status thing yet.

I suppose we should receive the NOA1 soon? I sure hope so. We were concerned that they were going to return our whole application because we had used a later I-485 form (but still valid, according to the USCIS website). Some VJ members who had done the same had their applications returned. Hopefully we've escaped that.
