1) Your local USCIS office. Some states have one for the whole state, some have several. Your biometrics letter will tell you where to go.

2) As amy said, just one for AOS/EAD/AP if you applied together. If you applied for your EAD separately (and paid the $340 fee), you might have a second biometrics appointment.

3) The best time is to walk in if your office allows walkins. Mine does, but bitches about it.

Thanks a lot! I hope PA has several :-)

USCIS sends you a letter telling you when and where to go to biometrics. There will be only one done for both EAD and AOS. AP doesn't need one.

Thanks!!!

I had called them to expedite my advance parole, and was forwarded to the tier-2 officer. He informed me that i cannot expedite it until i get my biometrics done. And that's when i was told that the appointment letter has already been sent out on the 27th. You might want to wait a bit more for the information, or you can try calling up again?

Today I got the transfer notice that my case has been forwarded to CSC, but I still have no biometrics letter. It is 99% sure the appointment letter got lost in the post and this will delay the whole aplication. I could just shout, especially after a 15 minute conversation with the customer service rep, who had a boring voice and was reading stuff from a computer screen. And finally said that there is nothing he can do

:wow: That's great that you got your transfer notice. I think you are the first August 2010 filer to get that far in the process. I had my biometrics done on Aug 17 and I am still waiting :clock: for either a transfer notice or an interview date... I'm not sure what you can do about the lost biometrics letter, but once you get it try for a walk-in. If you are successful, then all you'll have to do is wait for CSC to give you your approval and then you're done. :)

So you have received 3 different receipt numbers too, right? And did you file for i130, i485, EAD and AP too? Because yesterday, while talking to one of the most rude IOs on the phone, I was informed that I am missing a receipt number (For advance Parole). I just wanted to confirm with fellow VJ members if they received 3 or 4 receipt numbers. Thank you!

People on this particular thread do not file for I-130 as they came on Fiance or other family Visa and as part of that visa they had already filed for I-130 and only need to file for AOS, EAD(optional) and AP(optional). You are probably on some visa other than family and thats why you filed for I-130. You should have 4 NOAs, if you filed all 4 forms.

I just received 6 Text at 9P eastern with 3 different receipt numbers! Yeah...

How i'm waiting for hard copy and checks to clear.

So I have questions

1-what does TOUCHED means?

2- So now I got the text does it automatically mean that my application was filed out correctly and they won't be returning the package for more documents.

Thank you in advance (if you are confused w/ my questions please let me know and I will try to re-explain)

We didn't file for AP so we only have 3 Receipt Numbers.
