Hey Darnell, Yes apparently The Jerusalem Embassy had some trouble with somethings and that whats been holding up people cases, they told me in about 1-2 weeks he should have it. lets see. thanks for asking.

What's the use, Darnell? We all know that the operators have little access to information and tell us even less. How many people actually know why they're in AP? It's not called the black hole for nothing!

I do mean DoS! With a few exceptions, I have called DoS once a week every week, sometimes more for five months now, and I'm not really any the wiser about why I'm in AP and why it's taking so long.

Darnell, do you have any tips for getting real info out of DOS? Please share them!

My experience is the same as treehugger, DOS appears to be pretty much useless. I get the same non-information when I call them. When I asked them why my fiance is in administrative review the woman said, and I quote, "something came up." Couldn't/wouldn't tell me more. I tried to ask specifically - is it FBI namechecks? They said, we don't have that information. All they can see is what I already know - the date of the interview and that the case is in administrative review.

missmyhubby I'm sorry I feel for what you're going through :-( It is true that administrative review is common in the Middle East... sometimes taking many many months or even longer. I hope that yours will finish faster and be over soon!

Very much agree about calls to DOS, as about countries where AP is common, may be all depends on amount of people on immigration forums as far so-so about amount of males/females. I already know about 4 women under AP on Russian forum right now, where only few active members.
