"Chasing the munchkin"...I'm adding that one to the spank-bank lexicon.

Status: Junk food coma.

By eating an entire box of cheese-flavored crackers, at least I got in 8% of my RDA of iron.

Um, Munchkin is a highly active pre-K'er and chasing means just that ... continuous exercise of the "running around trying to catch" variety.

So, Doris, get your mind out of the gutter and find me some chocolate to feed my sugar craving :P

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

maven, Dear John's is a blue-hair bar with stiff pours, Palms adjacent:

Yelp reviews

SIGH. However did you know this is EXACTLY the kind of place I like to go to? This is where I was last night: Roger's Exciting Tattle Tale Room.

THE TATTLE TALE. Oh hell yeah. You are already a local! :star:

Plus the Scarlet Lady next door. Man oh man, that is an odd little Bermuda Triangle of divebar activity right there. Makes for a great first date: separates the men from the boys.

Followed by late night drunken nosh at Johnny's Pastrami if the date is going well. (L)

Drove past Johnny's Pastrami on my way back up to the Valley this morning.blush.gif My roommate-to-be is a Culver City local, and he pointed out the Tattle Tale and the Scarlet Lady as possibly of interest to me. When a potential suitor invited me to his birthday party at the Tattle Tale, how could I say no?

Right! Off to go see Boyfriend No.1 for something like this:

Well done on the galavanting! B-)

Ahh, dive bars, boys on the halfshell, Afternoon Delight. You've put me in the mood for the Circle Jerks' version.

Status check: awake at 3.30am. I passed out on the couch at 7pm and awoke just now. It turns out Potential Suitor is very recently separated (like 6 weeks!) and got freaked out when he realised he had messed around with a woman not his wife. He asked to be put on the back burner; the Maven (for she is a kindly thing) was happy to oblige. I'm glad that the evening was relatively chaste then, for his sake as well as mine.

There should only ever be one 3:30 ... and it isn't in the morning. :(

Unless, of course, it is merely an extension of the previous night. ;)

Johnny's Pastrami is definitely overrated, so is Tito's Tacos.

Day off. Noodles for breakfast, mowed the lawn, in the process of transferring videos from my crappy camera to my pc, watching preseason NFL and listening to this sweet song that i'm sure many of us guys have always wanted to say to the girl that left and her new bf.

oh btw... explicit lyric alert ... f bombs all day but it sounds soooo good tho ...

'Strewth.

They do both kinda suck, food-wise (unless you're cross-eyed and faded, of course).

But I do love the people-watching at Tito's! And the ordering/food prep/payment system is such a model of inefficiency, it's a trip to watch it in action. So many better taquerias out there, though, it's a shame to waste perfectly good belly-space on those weird dogfood-and-orange-cheese gutbombs that Tito's puts out.

I like their salsa for some weird reason.
