No update since NOA1 dated 7/13, should I react?

Dear VJers,

I read many of your timelines moving steadily forward, I am very happy for you guys.

However, my case is seemingly lost/stuck in somewhere...

I submitted my N-400 on 6/29, receiving NOA1 on 7/15 (NOA1 dated 7/13). Afterwards, nothing shows up online or in my mailbox.

I read USCIS online saying that I should be able to received my biometrics appointment in 15 days.

Should I contact 1-800 number to find out where my case is at?

Is there anybody whose case is similar to mine?

I don't know anything about the Citizenship process, but since the NOA1 date is "only" 7/13 I would wait whats going on this week and the call if I haven't heard anything from USCIS. It's summer time and maybe they have more work load then usual.

You're not far off others timelines, so I would give it a few more days before getting worried.

Also, when did you do your biometrics last? Some people who did it less than a year ago, don't have to do it again. They only get their interview letter after one to two months.

There is a backlog for biometrics letters so it could take longer than the normal time. If 30 days pass by you can call and place a service request for a biometrics...

yeah it takes a while after the first notice. for me...i filed back in mid Feb...but didn't get my biometrics appointment notice until around mid-April. you should be hearing from them sometime next month.

You teach me something new today. My biometrics for removing conditions was done on 8/7/2009. (Well, very close to 1 year it seems like...)

A colleague of mine told me that he got his citizenship in three months. He submitted his application back in April, got fingerprints taken in May, and then took same date oath in early July. Another colleague of mine also filed her application around similar timeframe and now waiting on the oath letter.

It seems like the processing time somewhat slowing down in June/July filers but following up June/July applications in another thread concerns me.

I will make a call if I don't hear from USCIS in another 15 days or so.

Good luck on your journey...it take a month after the biometrics for the next step.

i wouldn't worry about why you haven't received anything else as of date. if everything is in order...you should get your citizenship before the year is up. hopefully November by the latest.

the process from start to end has really improved. there was a time that it took 1 year just to get the interview letter. i know because the first time i applied about 10 years ago...it took that long for me to get the interview.
