I tried to post a link to another immigration board in a PM to another member. It was removed. Why is this?

That seems like a bit much to me, this isn't a competition here.

I don't know what "that" site is, I haven't spent a lot of time at the one I tried to post, but it seems relatively benign. :unsure:

You might want to send a message directly to Captain Ewok about this. I know that he does not monitor PM conversations so there would be no way he would know you had sent a link via PM (We have had discussions about that concern before as it relates to privacy issues). No moderator has the ability to monitor PMs unless we are sent a link to the PM by one of the participants, nor do we have the ability to edit PMs or posts. I wonder if there is a default setting that prevents links to certain sites being forwarded, but that too would surprise me. This is peculiar.

That is what happened...The link posted, but where it had the site name, instead it says "removed".

It must be one of the censored sites then. I wasn't aware that there were some, but it appears that there are. The link doesn't work, btw.

I tried to PM someone a phone number for Dos and it was deleted in the actual PM... is there also a filter for phone numbers? I tried it twice and it was deleted both times.

One can only presume that it is, well you know... THAT site

ETA: I just sent a PM to someone and THAT site is definitely censored in PM conversations

Hmm , DOS should not be a censored site. That one, I would say, is peculiar. Hopefully Captain Ewok will be able to weigh in on this topic soon.

I wasnt posting a link.. rather a phone number... the entire # disappeared when the PM was sent... like I never typed it...
