ALL AOS transfers (if it IS transferred) go to CSC. So you are good there.

We received AP today. No EAD so far and no word on AOS (had problems with fingerprinting and two different Alien numbers, so I see InfoPass appointment in our future)...

CSC? I find that a little strange...But still no bio appt. for Maria... You had yours rather quickly...As Jared said let the games begin

If you get transferred to CSC it's almost guaranteed you do not have to do an interview. That's what happened to us which was a big relief to not have to get together more evidence. Check out my timeline

But we never recieved a appt letter for biometrics to have her fingerprints done and it has been almost 2 months since we sent in the pak. How can they skip that step?

You can't skip it, but call the 1-800 number and talk to a TIER 2 (Immigration Officer). You should've received your biometrics letter by now.

Call them as soon as you can.

I know a couple here, locally, who were in your situation. They had to call into USCIS and only then did they get the biometrics. Also, they got the EAD a couple of weeks after the biometrics too. But they had to wait for biometrics letter for almost 2 months as well and only then did they call in.

Alex, I had to call and speak to a Tier 2 officer as you said and then and only then did they say they were sending out the Bio appt. letter.. something about they were backed up Bullcrap.. So we wait to recieve it now and take it from there.. I feel like I am back in Dec.09 when we all were confused about everything.

Hey guys,

I hope you remember us... We are the December filers that were "left behind" due to problems with my Puerto Rico birth certificate. It took 7 months for us to receive our NOA2, and my fiancee's interview at the US consulate in Rio de Janeiro is set for October 19.

I know that you guys have all moved on to AOSs and Green Cards, but I have a question about the interview, and I wanted to ask y'all because I trust your opinion. I hope you don't mind... Here it goes...

Does it give us a better chance to get approved if I travel to Brazil for my fiancee's interview, or does it really not matter? If it makes a difference, I will definitely go through the expense... Nothing is more important than getting that visa approved... But otherwise, we would like to save our money for the other big expenses coming in the near future (moving, marriage, other immigration expenses, etc.)...

By the way... I should clear this up... As far as being there for emotional support for Missuzu on the day of her interview... My original plan was to be there, no questions asked. It was Missuzu who questioned whether it would be better to save the money.

What do you guys think? What are the pros and cons to me being there for Missuzu's interview?

Well, here's my opinion: If your consulate lets you BE present during the interview - then go. If it doesn't - then don't.

It has never hurt anyone yet to be present at the interview. However, if the money is tight - think about it some more. It really isn't necessary. What's more important, in my opinion, is you flying back with your fiancée, since it's a much bigger emotional hurdle than an interview.

I hope you remember us... We are the December filers that were "left behind" due to problems with my Puerto Rico birth certificate. It took 7 months for us to receive our NOA2, and my fiancee's interview at the US consulate in Rio de Janeiro is set for October 19.

Norman,

Each Consulate is different, but in Colombia it is very important to attend the interview. I attended Carol's and I'm glad I did, plus I got to spend more time with her. When my friend went to his fiancee's interivew, a woman was denied because her fiance did not attend. I say, go to the interview...you have spent too much time and effort in this process. It would be a tremendous setback, emotionally, if she was denied.

its about time to PJ as if they don't have us waiting enough for all this visa stuff, glad you finally got your bio letter. I have arrived safely in Florida now and have started working on the AOS, EAD and travel docs so we can post them off as soon as wee get back from Vegas at the end of the month.

Hope married life is going well for everyone and that you all get the happiness you so richly deserve Will be popping in and out with any questions i have as the AOS seems more complicated then the K1 lol.

Welcome to the US!! You arrived in Florida at a good time. The temperature and humidity has dropped, so it is comfortable during the day. You will love the winters in Florida...75 during the day and 50's at night.

Married life is good and we're still waiting for our marriage certificate from the state. I'm calling tomorrow to see what the hold up is. I have all the documents ready, just waiting for the certificate.

Remember, the AOS process is all about you. Your future husband only has to fill out the I-864. It was confusing to me at first also. I hope your wedding goes well.

Mark thanks for the warm welcome, am loving the weather in Florida at the moment as i left nothing but rain and dampness in England I just wish i could get out and enjoy it more but nope the change in weather has made me ill so hoping i get over this fast as its only 11 days til the big day.

Hopefully you are able to sort out the certificate and get on your way to the next step, lucky getting married in Vegas means we get the certificate there and then from what i have been reading so just going to make sure we order two copies one for the gov and one for us.
