Alex,

Congrats on the approval of the Green Card!!! Hopefully Daria will receive her card very soon and you can forget about paperwork for a couple of years.

Matt,

Good to hear that you're still kicking and have moved on to the next step. I think we're all experiencing the same issue with the weather and our wives. My wife still thinks that she's in Colombia. She sees the sun shining and thinks that it's 80 degrees, when it's really 60. I tell her to walk outside before we leave the house. Someday she'll understand the change in seasons.

Jenine,

Congrats on your perfect timing for receiving your EAD card!! Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Yesterday, we received the AP letter and EAD card in the mail...no email.:dance::dance:

Now, patiently waiting for Green Card.

Got RFE'd today ugggh......this is so stupid! They say I need to submit a income tax return for the most recent tax year(2010). I sent in the 3 recent tax years statements07, 08,09...however Im assuming the USCIS looks at it like that I was fired or layed off and had no income for 2010. Im still working at the same job hello?????????? :bonk: I need to submit a statement from my company explaining my position and salary and etc.

Just wondering if I could just submit one off my sections of my 2010 W2 and this would be allright?

Matt,

Sorry about your RFE...that sucks!! I don't understand the USCIS. Some people breeze right through the process and others encounter problems.

It would be quicker to send one of the extra copies of your W2 and then ask your employer for the letter.

Ok got the letter from my company and my W2 ready to send as well. I heard some people say they submitted the last 6 months of pay stubs as evidence of current employment. I however never read anywhere about doing this in the instructions for filing my I-485...wish I would of done it now! :bonk: Gonna mail this off tomorrow!!!

Checklist:

RFE letter

Employer letter

2010 W2

Last 6 months of pay stubs as well just to be sure

Hello everyone,

Our update is Cary got her green card in November and social security card in December, the wedding was July 28th. My question is should she contact the Philippine consulate to get her name changed on her passport? Here's why it is important. She is pregnant. I am in shock. I am in shock 'cause I had Prostate cancer seven years ago and was essentially told I would be shooting blanks. I had opted for eight weeks of daily radiation. Since I have a pre existing condition I can't get health insurance for less then the GDP of Guam. So what I have is a pregnant wife with no health insurance. It seems to us that it would be better if she went back to the Philippines and had the baby there. She also has a large family and would get more TLC there then here because I have a small family and everyone works a full time job. The toal cost there appears to be about $1,500 to $2,000 usd from pre to post natal and well baby care. My second question is what do I have to do to get my child into the US and to get the child citizen status? We are guessing that her due date will be mid August. We will have a more precise date when we see her Ob-Gyn the end of the month. I am in shock but I am also happy. I did share with her from the beginning what I was told by my doctors so of course we took no precausions. As always everyone's thoughts are welcome.

Mark,.... I talked to a Tier 2 officer later in the day and was told it needs more processing..Thats why it was sent back.. CSC was unable to make a decision..

If the green card was going to be issued without an interview or additional processing I think it would have ben sent from CSC and not back to NBC in Missouri..Then again the way the chit has been going I would not be surprised if they strung us out for another month or two..When did you recieve that notice? Normally if it gets sent back from CSC to the NBC it means that they tried to make a decision without an interview and were unable to do so, so it is sent back to NBC so that an interview can be scheduled. Why they can't send from CSC direct to your local office beats me, but it looks like you'll have to go down the interview route I'm afraid headbonk.gif

On the upside, it means that they attempted to complete your case, so the end is in sight. You shouldn't have to wait very long to get your interview date - I will cross my fingers for you :)

We got transferred to CSC on Monday, somewhat belatedly compared to other December filers, but to be honest I can kind of see this situation happening to us given we've already had an RFE wacko.gif I'll be watching with interest!

Drew,

You'll have an interview. Not a big deal, really. It's going to be soon too, which is good.

Also, today we got an e-mail that GC production is ordered. Nice present on Daria's birthday :)

Drew,

You'll have an interview. Not a big deal, really. It's going to be soon too, which is good.

Also, today we got an e-mail that GC production is ordered. Nice present on Daria's birthday :)

Congrats Alex!! What a great feeling to know no more paperwork for 2 years.

Looks like we will have to go the interview route like Drew. Oh well, our journey on the Rumrunner is near the end.
