What does it mean to be touched?

i check my status on the uscis website but it only tells you were you are at the moment, there is no other information about whats going on

One time on the bus, an old man touched me in a funny place.....

It means where ever your paperwork that you submitted to the USCIS gets moved even if they just move it from one storage spot to the other they have "Touched it" could mean they are adjudicating your paper work or it could mean nothing except it left a desk and went to another desk.
