Hello everyone, my fiancee is waiting on her letter from the US Embassy, then she will call and set up appointment for her interview.

1. Does she need the letter to make the interview? Does she need the letter for medical exam etc.

2. How long does it take for her to get the letter. The embassy is in Manila, and she lives in Manila its been a week she hasnt recieved it yet!

3. I am sending my fiancee all the required I-134 documents also I copy of my I129F petition that I sent to US Vermont Service center. The question

I have is I have heard that I need to also send copies of W'2s and 1040 tax returns for most recent year.

4. Do I really need 6 months copies of my pay stubs?

5, Do I need last 2 years of tax statements w2's and 1040's? or just most recent Tax Statements

I am feeling like maybe some of the requirements are excessive, can someone please tell me if all this will be required for me to send to my fiancee in Manila for her interview. what are the minimums, etc. We are so close now, I am getting ready to send her my packet, I want to make sure she has everything she needs from me. Thank you very much! Randall

Hello everyone, my fiancee is waiting on her letter from the US Embassy, then she will call and set up appointment for her interview.

1. Does she need the letter to make the interview? No, just tell them you guys aready got it Does she need the letter for medical exam etc. She will need the manila case number from the NVC

2. How long does it take for her to get the letter. The embassy is in Manila, and she lives in Manila its been a week she hasnt recieved it yet! My wife never got a letter from the embassy until a week before her interview...cant speak for k-1s though

3. I am sending my fiancee all the required I-134 documents also I copy of my I129F petition that I sent to US Vermont Service center. The question

I have is I have heard that I need to also send copies of W'2s and 1040 tax returns for most recent year. This is true...you need the tax transcript or the w-2s and full tax return for at least the most recent year...I sent 3 years of tax transcripts with w-2s and the w-2 for 2009 ... hadnt filed taxes yet.

4. Do I really need 6 months copies of my pay stubs? If you have them, send them...i sent the past 6 months of pay stubs.

5, Do I need last 2 years of tax statements w2's and 1040's? or just most recent Tax Statements You are only required for the past year (most recent) but its not a bad idea to send the 2 years prior too. Either tax transcripts or tax returns will suffice for this....sending w-2s also with a tax transcript is not a bad idea.

I am feeling like maybe some of the requirements are excessive, can someone please tell me if all this will be required for me to send to my fiancee in Manila for her interview. what are the minimums, etc. We are so close now, I am getting ready to send her my packet, I want to make sure she has everything she needs from me. One thing is, you do not want to just send the minimums...that could set you up for failure. Sometimes the CO wants more stuff. Better to have overkill than not enough and have to wait and send it later when they request it. For what is REQUIRED check this link out: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf

Don't wait for a letter from the Embassy. Chinook never received a letter. Instead, call the NVC and get your MNL case number. You simply need your MNL case number to make an interview appointment. Then, call the Embassy call center and make an interview appointment. If the call center asks you whether the beneficiary received a letter from the Embassy, just tell them "yes." Then you can make an interview appointment.

At the time you make the interview appointment, give the Embassy call center the beneficiary's email address and the Embassy call center will immediately email an interview appointment confirmation to the beneficiary. The beneficiary will need to take the interview appointment confirmation email to the interview.

For the medical exam, the beneficiary will need, at a minimum, the NOA2. However, it would always be better if the beneficiary showed St. Lukes the interview appointment confirmation email from the call center.

Why in the world would you want to risk sending the minimum requirements when this is one of the most important days of your life? I sent the most recent three years of tax returns, tax transcripts, W-2's, and 1099's. I also sent three months of current paycheck stubs, my employer's letter, and a current bank statement.

Don't forget to send proof of an ongoing relationship for the time period from when you filed your I-129 until the present. Also, send an updated version of your letter of intent to marry.

Good luck with the medical and the interview! :star:

Hello thanks for the reply, However my fiancee wants to set up the interview dates. can she do that without the letter as long as I have given her the MNL number? can she call and give them the number, and her email address, the lady at the Embassy told me she could, without having the letter? Please advise? I told her just to print out the email confirmation and keep that, and she would be able to get her exams etc. if she has the confirmation letter from the Embassy! Is this ok? Thank you!...........Randall

I called the Embassy last night--first use of PIN the operator hung up as soon as it rang.

Second call was told they are updating their database and to call back end of the week. She could tell me though K1 Visa appointment should be between 17 and 26 August?

Kinda thought it was strange that the database is being updated. A few hours into a Monday morning beginning of the month when the website says their stuff is updated middle of the month--but yet she could tell when appointments are available. And what kind of database could they possibly be using that it takes days to update? Maybe reading too much into it but what when the your being charged $18 through a Call Center it seems like a scam in itself. 1 hang-up, 1 sorry dbase is updating for a week--and don't know when it will be done, should I assume their will be another delay so that they can get another $18 out of me? Wow can you imagine if US companies took their database down for a few days every month or more... Guess thats why we are the best all around country in the world.

Anyone else experience this-is it common and should I just call back today and they'll have appointment?

Hello everyone, my fiancee is waiting on her letter from the US Embassy, then she will call and set up appointment for her interview.

1. Does she need the letter to make the interview? Does she need the letter for medical exam etc.

She doesn't need the letter to set up an appointment. It's just a letter stating that they already have your case in their system. As for her medical, just show them the letter from the NVC. They only want to see her Manila case number.

2. How long does it take for her to get the letter. The embassy is in Manila, and she lives in Manila its been a week she hasnt recieved it yet!

Mine took about a month :P don't wait for that letter.

3. I am sending my fiancee all the required I-134 documents also I copy of my I129F petition that I sent to US Vermont Service center. The question

I have is I have heard that I need to also send copies of W'2s and 1040 tax returns for most recent year.

As long as you have your tax return, you don't need to submit W2's.

4. Do I really need 6 months copies of my pay stubs?

3 months is fine

5, Do I need last 2 years of tax statements w2's and 1040's? or just most recent Tax Statements

I showed them my fiance's w2 for the last 3 years, I didn't get the pink slip. However, they asked me to submit a scanned copy of his 2009 tax return. The CO told me that they only need last year's.

I am feeling like maybe some of the requirements are excessive, can someone please tell me if all this will be required for me to send to my fiancee in Manila for her interview. what are the minimums, etc. We are so close now, I am getting ready to send her my packet, I want to make sure she has everything she needs from me.
