Question about EAD I797C notice Of Action

Hi

Can anyone tell me what maybe going on here..My husband recieved his I-767c for his EAD..

When I try to put the case online it is saying there is no such case..invalid reciept number.

So I called the 800 number and I am getting the samething there as well..It has a reciept date

of AUG 07,2006 and Notice Date of AUG 09,2006..Any advice on this from anyone please..

It can take a few days to get entered into their system. Some have even waited a week. When you call the 800 number there is an option to speak to a real person, I would say try that out and see what they say.

Same thing has happened for us and apparently it isn't unusual at all. Some people aren't even in the system after Biometrics!

Hi I just received a I-797C to capture my biometrics. What is that means? I already had taking finger printing a while back like in the middle application of I485. Why do they need them again? What happens after the biometrics and what happens during the biometrics appointment. I just receive a DWI will that interfere with my biometrics appointment or after? thank you so much.

Sometimes people get a request to appear for biometrics for a second time because the prints they got first time weren't satisfactory (caused by injured fingertip(s), having very shallow ridges, etc).

Additionally, some people are never able to check their case status online - it's a very imperfect system so don't read anything into 'invalid case number' messages.
