You can leave anytime from the day you get the visa to the last day the visa is valid- usually 6 months. Keep in mind that the day of the interview is NOT theday you get the visa; with processing and shipping, it can easily be another 2weeks.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Plus you need to go through CFO and get your stamp there. You can not complete that until you get your visa. It just takes a few hours. You can start it prior to getting yoru visa but then you will need to go twice.

You can leave the date you have your Visa and CFO stamp... In our case we interviewed on Monday, Visa received Wednesday, CFO class on Thursday and

departed the Philippines on the following Monday (7 Days) YMMV.

As long as you already have your passport stamped with a CFO sticker, then you're good to go.

2010-12-30------------Sent I-485, I-765, & I-131

2011-01-10------------Received NOA1 for AOS, EAD, & AP

2011-01-18------------Biometrics letter received

2011-02-07------------Case transferred to CSC

2011-02-10------------Biometrics in Detroit

2011-02-28------------Permanent Resident Card Production Ordered

2011-03-07------------Green Card and Welcome Letter received
