well, there is a lot to do at NVC - even then, the visa isn't just 'handed over' - there's also scheduling, more namechecks, and the interview itself, then AFTER the interview the visa is handed over to her.

USCIS-NVC handover - 2 weeks

NVC Processing - 1 to 3 months

NVC Scheduling - wait time - 2 weeks to 6 weeks, depending on that embassy's scheduling calendar

Appointment at Embassy - 2 to 6 weeks after scheduling, depending on that embassy's scheduling calendar.

To get letter from NVC by snail mail will take ages.

If you proceed with the EZguide, check AVR and see your NVC case# is generated. If yes, proceed the steps in that doc.

Yes. NVC tel# is really busy. You need to redial many times to get the line. Then proceed the Automated Voice Response (AVR) system. Be handy with your CIS Receipt#.

yes,my friend idid last night late i call nvc and avr i give him cis recipt and he give me nvc# he told me they send lettre in octobre 6 but i don't yet reserved

Did you want to 'go fast' at NVC?

IF SO - study the link in post #19.

elsewise, to 'stay postal' at NVC - is about 9 months from start to finish.

Talk to NVC operator (603-334-0700) when the case file forwarded to the Consulate.

Call DOS - 202-663-1225 Press 1 then 0 for a live operator, to check when the case file forwarded to the Consulate.

Also, you can contact your consulate to verify.
