Hey fat man in a boat, its all good!

You (your wife) should get an email with the DS3032 and how to pay for the AOS through the online portal. In that email will be your invoice number as well. You can see from my sig that it took a few days to get the email after receiving my case number.

I never mailed in the DS3032, only had the wife email it and it was approved.

Ok. Question to you people.

What does it even mean "the papers take 6-8 weeks to be matched up to your casefile". I think I'm lacking some understanding here. That's what the operator told me for the AOS. Does it mean they JUST check if the schedules and W2s are there and do NOT review them, as the embassy will do that?

Cause that would be awesome...

Hmmm I am curious about your question and the operators response also. I would not think that they send all our paper work to the embassy for them to review. Most of the source locations that could verify our claims would be in the states. I think they send it there because the originals should be returned to us at the interview. I am thinking the reviews should be simple on AOS because we provide the source documents to show we are not telling tall tails. I think the 6-8 weeks is a default response and I hope its not true that it would take that long without the NVC having questions on our submitted documents. JMHO

Well it sadly is true. It WILL take 8 weeks. Of that, I am sure.

I'm just concerned if they will look at the AOS very closely because we sent something from my husband's files and didn't order this from the IRS. The reason I'm terrified is that if they look at it closely and find that something is missing, it will take another 6-8 weeks for them to review it again after he sends the missing papers. (Just got confirmed by an operator that it WOULD again take 6-8 weeks.)

I'd much rather find out that something is missing at the time of the interview and send it to the embassy here.

And normally, the person at the embassy reviews the AOS and decides if everything is in order. I'm just not sure if that person will be the only one checking it or also an NVC employee.

IMO what they are trying to say is expect 6-8 weeks for your package to be attached to your file and THEN they will start reviewing. We went through NVC last year, start to finish, in 19 days despite being told we had to wait 6-8 weeks for processing after submitting documents. Unfortunately recent postings on VJ seem to indicate there is a slow down in case completes.

NVC certaInly does review the file because there have been numerous posts of filers receiving RFEs for AOS issues. That being said the embassy/consulate will review them again and can ask for additional information at that point.

I didn't relax until I had my green card in hand.

Good luck guys!
